[Info] The Retired Coat Gallery

Maranatha---the issue is being looked at now---so we're all just waiting. We are also all in the same boat, buying all the retired coat's just to have them be a coding error. What do you do?? There is honestly no way to compensate us all...so I'm looking at it that way--I know issue's happen. I am not at all criticizing the creator's.....they have alway's been able to bring them back (we just didn't know it...lol) So, I am sure that those special coat's will still hold their "value"!!! soooo, I have ton's of golden apple's (that are now not retired) that need new home's!!

Yes,exactly my point, and I just don't see how they can only retire for 2 days, just doesn't make since,I won't name names but the player I am refering to informed me they had a coat they we're about to retire, wasn't even retired yet,for sale, after they retired it,I bought the coat and 2 days later the coat is not retired, this is what I was saying should not be allowed, they should at least have to be retired for a certain length of time before re-entry into the public.I think these kind of people are just out for money and are scamming us all, again I point out, there should at least be guidlines to follow,we have to follow forum rules or we are reprimanded, couldn't the same be done for coat creators and collectors?I really like the way CraXoR,is doing with theirs,if everyone would follow lead,it would be much better.
|
But there are no rules for coats being retired or un-retired at the moment, so no one is breaking any rules. I can see how it is a problem for collectors, but at the moment the "rule" is really, "buyer beware."

Yes,you are correct, maybe one day there will be rules,as for now,we all have to deal, what else can you do.

Oh,I have had that one before, very nice.
|
Personally I also agree with the way CraXoR is handling the availability of her bueatiful coats! I have one (pink pegusus) and I am trying to get another )purple horse..
Hey CraXoR.. Great job!! Can you tell us what the names of the coats were for those of us who are interested in that info? Also if you know how to post PICTURES please do so. That is what this forum was meant to be for.. I have also opened one in my EC Forum for this purpose as well.. PLease help out! |
way back around 2007 I bought a mare and she had no picture as the coat was yanked. Anyone paying for retired coats must understand that it is possible that the coat can be yanked by howrse and you will get one golden apple for the lost coat or a pass. It has happened before and can happen again.
If you get that CraXoR coat for a golden apple you may find out that Howrse has deleted all coats numbered below 500 and you will have a howrse with no coat. The problem is people are collectors and art lovers. DG is another artist whose work I love and would collect if I was not helping someone else collect coats. I hope the coats do not end up yanked as they are a part of howrse history. I just see this one coat and it reminds me of the greatest howrse of his time, Syncopation who was the founding father of paints and of many lines. I see that coat and remember them days long ago. I see one coat and remember the joy of my first Hunter and how I put a coat that was removed for being of questionable origin. http://static.howrse.com.s3.amazonaws.com/production/goldenApple/130-miniature.jpg By LadyGoddess and the coat used on my dearest Arabian mare that once belonged to dearest and long gone friend Sarah. http://static.howrse.com.s3.amazonaws.com/production/goldenApple/154-miniature.jpg Syncopation coat and the coat of the founding father of paints. http://static.howrse.com.s3.amazonaws.com/production/goldenApple/277-miniature.jpg Back when I was breeding paints that was one of my studs coats and I still have him but do not breed. So many sad memories as each happy memory leads to players who are gone.

This is one of my horse. I think its retired too. She is low on health, because she is almost 30 years old I have to get stone fastly.

This is my Biton, I'm sorry I didn't just post a picture but I'm clueless as how to do it.
I had someone ask about her so I think she may be retired? http://www.howrse.com/elevage/chevaux/cheval?id=6161337

Here's one I just picked up...
It's a very recent one and I did check through the BM and couldn't see it there (but of course if anyone spots it and wants to inform me that'd be helpful) - wonder why it was retired? |
By Retired breeder, 17th June 2009 21:18:05
I believe this coat is retired:
I bought one today and I checked if it was retired it said it was, but I checked for the glitch, and unless my eyes skipped it, I did not see it on the select coat page. I was wondering how much he would be worth,I am not much of a retired GA person. Please pm and NOT post here, as it is against the rules. |

I cannot say but do know why some coats were taken down. Check out mechurchlady at deviant art for full detail. You will have to take the old link to a coat then copy the coat number then put it in the url.
http://static.howrse.com.s3.amazonaws.com/production/goldenApple/1881-normal1.jpg His name is Smokey and he has been a bad boy a couple of times, lol. http://www.burleson-arabians.com/news_fence_breach.htm The major reasons for coats being removed are the make quits howrse, the maker retires the coat, and art theft. I have a long list on my DA account under tineye and Haiku has one buried on her DA account. There are some that violate the rules but stay like clothed howrses, butterflies, and backgrounds. I have long ago given Logow and mods the information on this stolen artwork or alledged. Most common are horse models such as breyer's and pictures from the internet. ========================== CraXoR my comment on all coats under #500 was a meant that if Owlient owners decide they could delete your lovely coats and all coats under a certain number or a certain cut off date or remove anything that has too many or not enough coats. I hope they do not remove those coats. I have a howrse I am so wanting a craxor coat on. I also need a better name for her.
