Howrse has also announced that pass gods will no longer appear in Olympus, as "cheaters" are generating too many passes this way(from the Q&A from Discord)

I think this is uselessdefault smiley (8)

I really don't get how it is cheating if it is a literal part of the game. Pass droppers drop passes, so if you have pass droppers you get free passes, that's the whole deal... And if you get them through the Ascent, then... you get them through the Ascent? Like it's supposed to be? Because you get divines through the Ascent? I don't know, I'm really confused how it is considered cheating if it's just playing the game default smiley (o)

I could create a rant chat in my forum, so we didn’t spam people, however maybe this is a public enough space that enough people can see it and actually have a better chance at our voices being heard. It’s been a bummer to join a game I fondly remember from my early teen years and have it become a spend fest that’s quickly being ruined ‘after’ I’ve spent real money on it. Which we’ll never get back if something happens.

Really disappointed by the ascent news - and struggling with the cheating aspect with it.

If players are winning many multiples of certain divines, surely they are paying passes to do so, as we can only stock 15 of each coin. Or am I missing something?

It's not that players cheat at Ascent. It's that, according to Howrse, Cheaters (who cheat in other ways) are using Ascent legally to acquire pass giving divines and thus gaining more advantages for their less legal trades.

Couldn't they also 'cheat' by getting pass Divines any other way? default smiley (o) Sounds to me like they're going to be phasing out pass Divines entirely.

It is a possibility as they have done similar before back when the diamonds existed on the game that you used to increase the skills of divines. Ubisoft it looks like has been bought out by another company due to having serious financial difficulty enough that it was believed for awhile that Ubisoft was going to declare bankruptcy but didn't because of the other company getting involved and bailing them out. I imagine the company that bailed Ubisoft out of debt wants to recoup its money and if people aren't making in game purchases as much due to getting free items and passes from divines..well those divines could be removed. Of course I imagine this is likely the case of all the games that Ubisoft owned with all freebies and potential for freebies possibly being done away with on all the games they own. For us this is a game but for them its a business and businesses don't like being in debt anymore than an induvial likes being in debt.
