Impressionism

...does it not actually look that impressionistic? I see some hints in the grass and clouds, but if you look at classic impressionist paintings of horses, they are a lot more impression and a lot less exact.

I don't know anything about art, but this one looks actually good. Romanticism and this are definitely my favorites from Art series.

What is this Season key and why is it "purchable with real money"? Not only biggest change yet, biggest CASH GRAB yet!!! Like some trophy update 2.0... Lucky were those with the strength of character to quit when everything started going downhill.

And then they get rid of a third (?) of the playing time for the Ascent, where you can't earn obols from log in during that time... No wonder, when it was easily the most affordable way to earn divines. I guess I should have been suprised that they let it stay for as long as they did.

I don't like this change at all about AoO, its one of my fav game modes... Also the new event seems soooo time consuming, also totally not worth it, if you don't finish in top 3...Let's see, but I'm not very optimistic

Not like to have to use real money to get the premium stuff. Plus all that work on a horses that disappears at the end of the event. Not to mention you can’t choose the discipline.

How can they do this to us!!!!! Ephemeral horses event sounds time consuming and worthless unless you finish in the top three! Not happy about the changes being made on Ascent.

im greatly upset about ascent of olympus ending. I thought they might have hades for those that like him. I wanted Athena, apollo and heatia . I have at least 600 fragments for Apollo. Hephateus to complete the set.

Oh no, I wouldn't have gotten anywhere in this game if it weren't for the Ascent since starting as a new player has gotten harder and harder. Not offering obols during the break means that they don't like that we like to save up when the lineup isn't our favorite. Lately all the new changes have made me feel like it is Howrse staff vs us Guess I need to reconsider whether this game is worth it anymore...

I really don’t like what they’re doing with the Ascent! It’s hard enough trying to get fragments for divines that aren’t the main one, now it will be even harder.

Another thing is will it be impossible to get the main divine without passes now that there is such a big gap between rounds?

so we’re getting a new event… but instead of passes we actually have to ‘buy’ the special key. And like stated above, we don’t even get to keep the other horses we’ve bred and spent a fair amount of time and or items on? And then instead of getting turned into a useful divine, along the lines of a Legendary or that, we just get a token appaloosa ‘divine’. Pretty disappointing the longer I think about it the more annoying it gets.

Then the ascent… man, to those of us who started playing again after it started, to seemingly loose out on getting the first boss’ to go through, and to make it where more likely than not you have to use passes to finish it… lame.

The Game Dev Q&A (answers) was posted on Discord today. Hopefully Howrse posts it in the events forum topic, because it's a loooot to copy, but if not I'll post it.

However, here is a bit of an answer to the Greek God situation, and how bosses will work.

Answer: �Yes and no. We are going to try something new with the Ascent once the Zeus season is done. We are not satisfied with the current version of this mode, as too few players play it each season.

Starting in January, we are going to make the mode intermittent. This means that right after the Zeus season is done, you will not be able to play the Ascent for 3 weeks. Then we will inaugurate a new boss series for a 3-week season. Then there will be another 3 weeks without Ascent, then there will be a "rerun" season with the old Greek gods' series starting again from the top, meaning Athena. Then 3 weeks off, then a new boss from the new series, etc. We are going to try this approach and see if it performs as well as we'd like. We don't expect it to be the final form of the Ascent of Olympus as there are other changes we'd like to make that will have to come later.

OOF, I really dislike these updates! Especially the event seems like a big cash grab…
The new event is basically: spend your inventory of items, spend your equus, spend your passes AND spend your real life money, and then we make it disappear in a few weeks!
The chances of being in the top 3 are ridiculously low with the amount of players on this server…

Also, Frost as a main prize? I wish it was a more useful divine if you don’t want to complete divine collections…

And don’t get me started on Ascent

Really don't like the Ascent changes.

Maybe more people would play if some of the odds players lose at weren't so bogus. The whole thing feels so rigged, even if it's fun at first, it gets frustrating really quickly.
