About that - they don't really care about opinion of players. Just a quick example -
when we got the information of new pass-horse change, there was a poll. Most people voted for NO - as they didn't like it and didn't want it. Guess what - the change still made it to the game. I think that as long as someone (at least a few people) are supporting what they are doing (like this blup change, the pass-horse change...) they will do it anyway, no matter what most of the people say.

I have voiced my concern about the blup changes and I URGE everyone who is against it to do the same!

Under the new system, if the parents' Blup is below 100, the GP gain is weaker than what it currently is. Breeding at 100 Blup still results in the same gain.

Here is a hypothetical example. This isn't at all an accurate representation because we haven't tested enough to see what the real difference will be, but this is just a visual:
Let's say under the current system if you breed two parents with 60 Blup that the foal will gain 10 points. Under the new system if you breed at 60 Blup you will gain less than 10 GP.

Like I said, that's just a hypothetical example because we have no idea what the actual gain will be for the new formula. If you already breed at 100 blup, then you can ignore the update for the most part.

Another part of this change is that the point distribution will change. (from the Blupping help topic) Currently, you get 130 points for completed training in your best three skills, this includes rides and comps., the skill must go bold before this requirement is met.
40 points for reaching the age of 10
30 points for winning 20 competitions.

Under the new system, wins will be worth more points and training will be worth less. Which means that even though right now you can reach 70 blup by bolding top 3 skills and aging to 10 and can completely skip wins (or you could do less bolding and more wins or whatever), you will only get to 60 Blup with bolding top 3 skills and aging to 10 under the new system. The requirements to reach 100 Blup itself *will not* change.

To be honest, I absolutely hate this change... And it seems most of the people on the server I play mainly on - are just as unimpressed, angry or disappointed like me.

that instead of making wins more important for BLUP, they'd replace that altogether with some other requirement. The comp situation is horrible as is.

I don't care about this change at all, for I breed to 100 BLUP. However, it is going to be annoying to have to spend more time trying to win comps that are already hard to win.
i also think it is a good idea to let the players vote, and if the majority says no, they can come up with something else and try again next year. I'm very disappointed with howrse, and if it weren't for the change not being to bad I would stop and seriously think about quitting.

Isn't Sleipnir a son of Loki? Sleipnir is also a Odin's horse. They are from Nordic Mythology... (probably) Shouldn't Sleipnir be move from Mythological to Nordic collection?

i'm in a top team on the norwegian server, and very active in the gp race and i feel like this change is just going to put a complete halt on our game. we often run out of competitions as it is, i can't imagine how it will be when this change comes into place. just getting to 70 blup is tedious sometimes and now they want to make it even harder. my team and i work hard every day to keep up with other teams, but i guess it's not hard enough work for howrse. gotta use more resources. gotta spend more passes.

It is the potions, and (I believe) it will start the Thursday after the current promo ends.
Afterwards is the cards I believe.

One thing about the MA falling off a 30, Howrse kinda lost pass use from me there. Every so often, I would train a mare and use tons of BO on her to get as many foals as possible to make the use of the MA, while it was mostly from inventory, I would sometimes use a pass to get one if I felt I could make a profit from selling the foals, but seems I won't be doing that further. Oh well, I guess I have saved passes there.

Its going to completely change the way of tearing foals as well for prix teams. Some teams go to ~50 years old with the mare to get ONE max tear foal. no team is going to want to spend aging points on that as well, and if they did, i bet the price of skiller preps will increase as well.

With the M. Arms coming off at age 30, I thought it was just for immortal horses? Has Howrse made another big change and just lost the value of pass horses and skilled horses with the item?

Remember that new coat thing from the test server? I think it was called the Book Of Monsters. I remember that it would be won in the potions promo, but will it also be listed in the black market? I sort of want to save all of my themis scales and get 12 of them, but I am somewhat sure that they will not be in the market, and I should just use them on t.challanges now..
