It will be the Cards with Vegetable horse Kaktos (Cactus) as the main prize and there is a Wild available in a diamond card as well. We haven't been able to uncover all the cards available yet, but there have been images posted on the UK server if you don't feel like waiting until we're able to uncover them all

No, unfortunately we do not know exactly what we are supposed to do. We have been given a rough idea but I don't know where the list of possible actions is.

Kaktos is the new divine from the Plant Kingdom series. He has the most interesting perk for a long while:- when he reaches 2000 skill points, you can prune him and receive a unicorn foal of a breed you do not have.

The Cards are back. As normal, you scratch the cards to collect towards a prize or to compete collections. I have posted the prizes for the collections isn a separate spoiler.
You can get upto 4 cards per day; 2 on login, 1 from rides and 1 competition win. You can also purchases them with passes or from the flash sales. As with previous editions you will be able to trade 1 duplicate card per day.
There will also be the chance to purchase Joker Packs for 5 passes (1 of each card colour- Bronze, Silver, Gold & Diamond).


Event Prizes & Cost Estimate

These are the prizes for the card collections.
Preprod only started today so my estimates do not include any cards won for free. I spent 50 passes on joker packs. That got me 10 of each colour card. When I had scratched them all I was able to complete 4 out of the 7 collections. If you take into account the free cards that can be obtained and the ability to use equus to trade duplicates, I estimate it will cost 25-30 passes to get the divine. Lucky players will be able to spend fewer passes. It all depends on which cards you receive from logins, comps etc.

card packs will also be an option along with the jokers. You get a pack of 4 cards for one pass (or diamonds). You get 2 bronze cards, at least one of which you don’t yet have and 2 rarer cards.

But it's all down to luck. And by luck I mean what free cards do you get, what cards can you buy in flash sales... and what cards do you get buying them with passes and/or diamonds

Is there supposed to be a common linguistic origin of all the plant divine names? Liana and Fern are actual English words, and I figured Carnivorus and Alga are just slight modifications to seem Latin-ish. This new one is really a stretch though, and according to Google Translate,

AFAIK following this thread, weekend luck item promos are never tested on preproduction. Last weekend's was a GF and the weekend before that was a TC though, so if you assume they're cycling through each luck item, the HoP would be next (but that assumption may not be correct). Personally, I'm just hoping for some Grand Prix bonuses.

Alga is the singular form of the word algae. We usually use algae because we encounter multiple alga at once (e.g. pond scum is algae) and people rarely notice a single alga. As the divine Alga is a single horse, it does make sense to use the word Alga rather than its plural form (which would be like calling Fern 'Ferns'). Carnivorous is also an actual English word that is used to encompass all plants that get at least some of their nutrition from digesting insects. The divine is based loosely on the venus fly trap, but there isn't really a way to turn that into a good divine name.

Kaktos is the origin of the word cactus. It is from the (ancient) greek meaning 'prickly plant'. Why they didn't just use Cactus, though, I have no ideadefault smiley (lol)

I can't confirm because I didn't do the math myself, but estimates on Equideow were about 10 passes if you only had to buy crystal packs. This assumes you had all the HoPs stashed and you didn't need to spend passes on M.Bloods and you leave one Wanderer of each color unfinished to give crystals to. If you also need to buy HoPs then it will be about 15-20 I think it was. Prices will go up if you don't leave a Wanderer of each color unfinished because you won't get the most use out of the crystal pack and will have to buy more
