Okay thanks for the help, when I first saw sand it looked like the aging point as it looked like a pyramid shape and the leather, well it looked liked mud.

To Howrse team: These changes are awesome!! I didn't think so at first because all the info was mixed up, and some incomplete (at least for what I was searching for). But now I absolutely Lovedefault smiley (l) them! Thank you, thank you, thank you, *a million more thank you's*
You guys have made some great items available via crafting! And I love the thought of actually having a use for the straw I get when I grow wheat for mashes!!! Well, there are lots of things I love! Thank you soooooo much!default smiley (lol) Its nice to actually have something more interactive to do with our ECs than just harvested crops and repairing boxes!default smiley :d

And ShoraNagi has a list of crafts/material need in her forum if anyone is wondering!
Sorry for such a long post Lol!
When you say that iron will allow you to make these things, including horseshoe studs, does that mean I can make this bonus to put on my own horses??

Also, how would you get the other resources from the other areas??

The updates aren't that baddefault smiley (lol). In fact they are making thing available to players that only certain players got before. Such as horseshoe studs. And they give us the option to craft the bonuses!

Any idea how much cows will cost?
Retired breeder wrote:

The cost is dependent on the "breed" and the size of the meadow they are being raised on:

Click to display
1. The price is dependent on how large the meadow is

Bradford
Small meadow - 250
Medium meadow - 500
Large meadow - 1,250

Longhorn
Small - 1,250
Medium - 2,500
Large - 6,250

Apologies that I don't have the numbers for other meadows - but this is the Yields on the largest meadow - both with and without the Feed Trough:

Bradford
7,150 leather (Feed trough)
5,500 leather (no feed trough)

Longhorn
27500 x Leather (no feed trough)
35750 x Leather (feed trough)

If I wanted to craft stuff I'd play Minecraft .... why is it that those who run this game are so far out of touch with players?

This game is meant to be about breeding horses.

NOT raising cows
NOT running EC's
NOT crafting stuff.

Could someone please point me to the page number about the newest update? I got the message in the inbox and I'm interested to read more at this point.
Thanks!
I have always gotten a message before big updates, there is also a notice on your welcome page.

So I guess Sunday night I will make my organic brownies (not Colorado Organic) and have a bribe ready for a speedy Monday.default smiley :d

Really like to get this over with so the game smooths out and gets a form of normal about it.

*UPDATE*

This was posted by Ow not to long ago on Preprod - it has some information that has changed since some of it was first posted here:

Hello,
Here is a list of the things that have been modified following the tests.
The modifications will be applied on the test and the live version once the features are launched.

Missions:

Wording change on the sentence explaining the mission breakdown and emphasising the missions are randomised.

Better explanations about resource regeneration

Mission and lesson buttons
- Fused together
- Same on mobile version

Earning in equus for a mission/lesson: The tooltip has been reinstated and information is added to the history

Making/repairing items:
Possibility to destroy a workshop
Possibility to buy resources directly in the box repair pop up
Change of icon to a caddy to make purchase option more evident

Bonus – Starter pack with resources to test small workshop at launch

Horse page action
Drop down menu reinstated for the moment but without information regarding free food amounts. Only the slider option can provide that information.

Thank you

So missions are kinda like when we had the level tests, but just using items instead of knowledge?
Nirvash, if you read from about 4 or 5 pages back forward, people have been bring stuff forward.

Nope - Missions are just the new name of Lessons:

Click to display
They still work the same - so as a breeder, when you do a mission:

Your horse will still gain skills, and you will gain Equus

The Center your horse is boarded at;

If the Mission offered is a Transport one - The center will receive whatever Resource they are set to get (so a Forest center gets Wood, a Beach center gets Sand, a Mountain center gets Iron)

If the Mission offered is a Lesson - the Center will receive Equus instead.

So both sides benefit.

Oh, and those on test site could you please tell me what to expect with the new lessons? Like I know what they do and stuff, but which one would I have to do to farm my horses? Thanks.

I agree (although do not know much about it yet and will wait to base my final opinion on when it is out) but do we have to do these things?

It said that Tractors would be replacing scarecrows - will those of us with lots of scarecrows have tractors put into our inventory to account for the loss of the scarecrows?

If you don't like the new updates, you don't have to play the game. No one is forcing you to. The updates are made to add more excitement to the game and offer more opportunities for players. Also, please don't shout - it wakes all the horses!

Not really looking forward to this, but I suppose I'll get used to it like all the other updates I'm not fond of. I've been on the game too long to stop, but it does seem like the updates are getting less fun.

But I'm not saying it will be bad. I like the thought of making tack. We'll just have to see what happens and how it all works. Who knows? We may all like it.

Scarecrows will turn into tractors so whichever meadow had a scarecrow, it will get a tractor default smiley :)
