Luckily,I have no interest in my EC what so ever,so I am just going to get extra breeding money.default smiley :)

I only have an EC for my personal use, but I grow crops every season to help improve it. The expense of purchasing said crops as well as taking care of my Vanners and such would be taxing on my reserve as well as others who AP farm and run top ECs. I just see no positive way it would work for most players.

Same goes for the Turnips being replaced with alfalfa/fodder. There's basically no profit whatsoever if 1 turnip will equal25 fodder and fodder costs 1e. And last time I checked we already give our horses forage (which could be classified with fodder) with the feed widget.

I don't see how the EC and breeder reserve merge will work. It's either you focus on your horses and have no money for your EC or vice-versa.That update would be a total train wreck.

Well, obviously you will have to keep an eye on both, not only focus on one and then be surprised that you don't have money for the other. default smiley :p (I am not saying that it will be in any way easy or that the transition period will be smooth, mind you. But the fact is that you will just plain have to keep in mind both kinds of expenses if you want to have both. Fullstop. ) default smiley :d

Nobody official said that the turnip change was made to have people make a profit ...

And the feeding will change a bit.

I just think that the merge thing will even change the rankings. The underrated Equestrian Center top prestige could also raise up in the general ranking, and the breeder's ranking with the money coming in from their EC default smiley :)
I still think it would be best to keep the reserves separate. At most be able to transfer some money from your personal reserve to the EC's and back.

As for the turnips, some players rely on it's +12 energy for training/blupping and only costs one from . And in the long run the fodder would be more expensive than turnips, especially for those who work hundreds of horses a day.

*I ment to say one turnip from your inventory. Who knows how much fodder we'd have to but for a pound/kilo.

Yes Milo, I think it would be cool with equips transfer, like every 60 days yo could transfer foundies from ec to player. E centers tend to make so much more money than the breeding farms.

I just think the game play will be littered with "I bought a unicorn, now I have no money for bedding in my ec", and of course the poor person who has a horse there ends up with low moral because of the bedding problem or whatever.

Instead of Combining the EC and Breeder Reserves, they should allow you to transfer between them, That way, you would not loose EC prestige if you spend all of your Equus on a pass horse or a uni.

Not really. We've always had to pay for our horses food and grain, but now we're going to have to buy it from the store, not from the horses page. Also, ECs will be able to provide fodder and oats to it's boarders.

I cannot help but wonder that myself.

If we could transfer money between the reserves people could "cheat" - example you want to breed some mare, but is not willing to pay 10K, so you transfer some E to the EC, and the covering fee goes to the lowest possible.
Then you transfer some funds back to the breeders reserve.

If we could transfer E between the 2, I guess it would have to be within a time limit of sorts.

The merge puzzles me. I can underrstand why they want to fix the fact that some EC's have millions just sitting there.
However some play to have a lot of E in ther EC's, or a lot of E in their breeders reserve.

It would make more sense, at least in my book, if Howrse came up with some game features that allowed the E to be used for EC improvements.

In order not to overspend I'd have to use spreadsheets or I'd just dance off and buy covers, feed, tack, spend it on promos and what not. I don't really care that I do not have millions on either accounts.
When I have enough E in my EC I tend to buy a big box and a shower. All while keeping an eye on the E for when I have to replace my calves, repair the boxes etc.

With the merge everything suddenly seems to become rather complicated. But I hope that Howrse has given this some serious thought.

To be honest, I like the idea of the

reserves merging.
It would be so much easier to make money (especially since I splurged more than half my Equus, nearly 1,000,000e on a diamond card accidently!)

I focus on both now and will do so after. There is no need to single out one area only.

Exactly
I love you Merlin, said just the right thing, accidentally spending 100,1000 on a diamond card. What a mess that could make if it is one.

The most I've spent was 25,000e on a bronze card

To be honest, I think the Equus merge is unfair. Richer players would have the good ECs, and the less wealthy would struggle. But that's just me.

I havent been on in a while and my EC was doing really badly so I just restarted it. Bought 3 large infertile meadows so that they will turn into 6 fertile meadows when this change happens( any idea what date its going to happen?). What's the current best cash crop? What's going to be the best one when it changes? I'm trying to plan.
Thanks :-D

Your best bet right now is to plant those meadows with wheat. Even though they are the infertile ones you will still get a decent crop.

If your new account was mine I would also get the greenhouse and plant flax. It will be needed for bedding if you decide to house any horses.

@thatsrosalie, can you not read my words?

---Buy less than what you sold it for.---

Read that sentence over again. It means you buy less than the gain from selling the turnips. So you don't need as much fodder. And anyway, if the EC runs out if fodder, is it your concern if other's horses can eat fodder bought from their own inventory?
I keep seeing people commenting about gemstone divines. In order which are the most useful and almost useless?

If they release them again I might have enough passes for one, but not more than one, so I'd like to choose one of the better ones.

Like ones that give diamonds, passes or higher BMIs.

List please!! default smiley :d
Thank you.
