[Spoiler] Foal games are really annoying. Best I've done without shower is having a foal at 17% energy when its done. So not too bad. Only did it once though. Getting foals a 9% or 13% is easierdefault smiley xd

There's one in the VIP forum that doesn't kill your horse, but you get all 60 points (I'm not going to post it here because I don't know if the original author would be okay with it).

I wanna log on and to some more tests. But I cannot. Have to wait until tomorrow. Bummed out.

@BreezeCatcher I think we better wait until the one on prepod decides to post it here.

the foal ends up too overweight, and I need a shower. Good thing we have time to test this

If you have turnips growing when the EC changes start, will the crops be lost or will they be changed to whatever is replacing the turnips?

Us there an age you have to be to go on the test server(over 13,over 18,etc.)?default smiley :)
On the Solars with the new changes I swapped mine to my "Venus Schedule" (she's so special x_x )

3hr box
2hr Ride
carrot
Drink
Groom
Feed
1hr Ride
1hr box
4hr Ride
Stroke
Turnip
2hr Ride
Stroke
2hr Ride

(Shower, stroke, heel required)

(I found if you stick with the old schedule you will end with 8 points + 1 comp. It's still viable for the ones you're not trying to beast skills on *coughMarscough* )

No I don't think so. It would make sense if Howrse tries to pick testers of various ages.
Some of us oldtimers might miss features younger players notice, and vice versa.
Some get an invite via PM, others see a link on the frontpage. There are a set number of spots available, and their snatched up fast.

What's the topic called?
Just a quick interjection, why is it that everyone is trying to figure out a training schedule without a shower? Did I completely miss something? Because Howrse never said they were going to get rid of showers... did they?

No it's because:

the turnips are being removed and replaced by mashes which only give 10% energy and can't be used until your horse is 2 years old

Honestly if Pixiu isn't someones child and he is in the next GC, and his bonus doesn't blow me out of the water, chances are I won't be trying for him at all this next round :z

Not every box on the game has a shower. default smiley :d
With shower, foal games are still possible without worry. The problems arise when you try to do the foal games without the energy-helpers.

Ohkay.. so can someone give me a quick rundown on what I should be doing with my EC? Hoarding certain things? Selling certain things?

If you want to have fodder right away, have some turnips.
flax and oats are combined to feedable oats.
if you need fertile medium meadows, you can buy big infertile ones now.
mashes are feedable every day after the change and will probably be used regularly, so you might want to stack up some more mashes if you don't think you have enough. default smiley :d

It's the "Energy/Turnip removal problems". The author has stated that they don't want it to be posted in this topic (or in EC forums).

A question for anyone on the test version, does the turnip/carrot change affect Blupping very much?

You will have to buy your own fodder, oats, carrots, apples, and Mesh in the breeders store. So I suggest saving as much money as humanly possible.

Only if the EC your horse is boarded at lacks.
The fodder and oats are freakishly cheap though! At 1e and 2e
Carrots are 20e (less than turnips!)
Energy mash is the same
so I wouldn't say you have to "save as much as humany possible" default smiley :)
Plus some items (like turnips) will be converted into the new items.

I've actually had issues bluping anything, since there's a glitch they are trying to work out x_x
But I believe you'll be needing to alter the orders a little, since the carrot gain is up 2 and the mash is 10 (so instead of 6+12 energy we'll be working with 8+10 which may effect timings of actions slightly)

Also I think it'll depend on the exact schedule you use, since not all breeds use the same one and what age you want to be done by default smiley :)

I discovered this when I went to take care of my wild horse. So yes, if you own wild horses that can not be boarded at an EC, then save money for the oats/fodder/carrots.
But thank you for pointing that out, I guess I made a mistake in taking care of my wild first. (=
