@waterangel That's exactly what I do anyway, the mash is pretty much the same as the turnip because the carrot already has made up the extra energy...

Oh. I just thought of something. Will a horse be at 92% energy when it wakes up then, as carrots normally get it to 100%? Or will we be loosing 2% energy?

The whole carrot/turnip thing seems pretty unnecessary. Why not just keep it the way it is?

This is what's on the US server. It's translated from French and it's a lot of text.

+ 10% energy
10% of moral
+ 5% of healthy
- The equestrian center offers mash to residents if it has in inventory. If he does not, breeders must use those in their inventory

food

- Cereals become oats and fodder is produced by the alfalfa crop.
- The equestrian center offers oats and fodder for residents if it has in inventory. If he does not, breeders must use those of their inventory. It is possible to buy the feed and grain store of the breeder.
For now, offer fodder and oats in his riding does not count for prestige. This will happen thereafter. Mash, meanwhile, account for the prestige, in the same way that health mash before.
The concept of clean grass is removed.

- The groom is therefore only action on the boxes of the equestrian center.
- The calculation of the energy gain and moral and forage consumption of a horse when it is put out to graze prestige depends on bluegrass.
- Flooding is deleted and the storms have no more destructive to crops.

Any reference to cleanliness grass is removed from the game.

Improvements are made at the meadows to make them more consistent operation.

• Meadows infertile are deleted. If you possess, they are replaced by a fertile meadow same size, except the large infertile meadow, which is replaced by two fertile meadows of medium size. The fertility of these fields will increase as the days up to 100%.

The areas of the various fields, the number of horses they can accommodate and seed / fertilizer needed for crops are reviewed: see below for details of the correspondence between the size of the meadow, the number of horses that can pre welcome and seeds and fertilizer needed for crops.

Small meadow -> 5ha -> 5 horses -> 5 seeds and fertilizer 5
Mean pre -> 10ha -> 10 hp -> 10 seeds and fertilizers 10
Large Pre -> 25ha -> 25 horses -> 25 seeds and fertilizers 25
Greenhouse -> 10ha -> / -> 10 seeds and fertilizers 10

• It now takes 5 dung for manure fertilizer.
• The price of seeds is lowered.
• Fertilizers and seeds of your inventories are multiplied by five.

The alfalfa
- It is possible to grow alfalfa.
- The alfalfa seeds cost 30 equus to shop equestrian centers.
- The cultivation is done in summer and lasts seven days.
- The seeds of alfalfa produce fodder once culture performed.
- It is possible to sell the product and feed but not to buy.
Turnips, barley and flax
- All three products are removed.
- The cultivation of flax is retained but produces only bedding.

the mash
- The three types of mash are merged into one.
- The ingredients for making a mash change
- A mash is 25 equus resells to shop equestrian centers and bought 50 equus to the store of the breeder.

Other adjustments:
- The price of seeds and fertilizers decreases because a larger number it takes for crops
- The price of straw bedding decreases
- To better balance the crop yield, it is lowered for the summer crops and higher for spring crops.

• The current crop of turnips become alfalfa. The cultures become ongoing barley oat crop.
• What is happening with the products you have in your inventory?
below detail tells you how the products were removed from the game have turned in your inventory:

Turnip -> 25X feed
Barley -> oats
Flax -> oats
Energy Mash, mash caloric mash health -> mash
turnip seed -> 25x alfalfa seeds
barley seed -> 5x oat seeds

The changes are rumored to happen on

I hope I get on of the Norse divines!!! I come from a line of Vikings way back then. I don't really care that they don't give you much. Maybe they can add loki and he can breed with another divine to give birth to slephir. He is the 'mother' of slephir. It's a weird story how that happened XD

I like that sentence default smiley xd Just for itself, not for it's impact on the game.

You know that most people stopped growing turnips when the price was fixed and it stopped being a cash-crop, don't you? Because it was just not worth it.

The item changes are of course going to change the routines, but that is not the first time, and I am sure we will all get used to it after a while.

Now, if the availability for food does not right away influence the ecs prestige, should one grow the things that will be turned into food already anyway, or wait until the change happened?

We already have Sleipnirs, so I don't think that Howrse will suddenly change their family trees.

I've got over 2000 turnips between my breeders' and EC reserves.
And it's the first time in a LONG while I've gotten up to more than 100k equus.
Really disappointed that the wonderful Shenma was a stallion... who can't even breed... But I did get my extra VIP perk, so I'm happy with that~
Now, if my Tianma and my Shenma release their bonuses at the same time, I'll go into a hyperactive "I MUST AP FARM TODAY" mode. default smiley xd That would be wonderful default smiley *-) Probably work most of my 1300 horses default smiley xd

(And for those of you saying, "Wait a minute... You only have 16k, no Divines, only 5 horses and no VIP," I invite you to come see my game on the US server. *bows*)
(Also, yes, I know that I can only get AP out of the first 1000. I just like to stay on top... and I have no clue if they still give droppings after 1000 horses)

Loveeee it n_n.
I know things seem weird when you read them, but things may not actually turn out as bad as some of you may think. At least give it a chance first.
By Retired breeder, 14th August 2014 14:24:18
I wonder if the turnips that we have now will be turned into mashes (I hope so, I have over 1300 turnips and I don't want to have to buy mashes).

It's a little confusing, but it may just be because it's poorly translated. I'm going to miss the turnips, and the energy changes will mess up BLUPing schedules.
Yeah, we're all gonna have to change our Training methods. But hopefully it won't be too drastic. I'm kind of excited for the changes though.
