I am excited for some updates but i do not like how we have so many new divines. plus, the great challenge happens too often. When two promos run at once, like with the pinatas and the great challenge, it is just too irritating.

I haven't been invited, nor has anyone I know, so I would assume that it's not going on (for this server).

They updated the Terms of Use all you have to do is read it (-_-) and click accpet

Yup we all got it, except the Au server.

There is a thread on the Canadian server and that sever is the only one that got a thread about it coming in effect Aug 1st. I guess they were "special".

Some serious questions were raised there ( disposition of your account if you refuse) and they were all wondering why only the Canadian server got a thread as I have not seen any thread or topic about this here or the other servers I am on..

Hello Everyone,

Please be aware that on the 1st of august 2014 we will be changing the general user conditions on http://ca.howrse.com

Here are the links towards the new Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use that will come into effect on the 1st of August.

Terms of Use

Once the Terms of Service are updated on the 1st of August you will have 30 days to validate them. If you do not validate them after those 30 days we will consider it as a tacit acceptance of our new terms.

Please also note that if you are under 13 and your account hasn't been validated by your parents you will lose access to:

- the avatar
- the player page
- the forums (forum topics can be read but you can't comment or post your own)
- the private messages (except when receiving a private message from Owlient)

The reason behind these limitation is simply that we have a legal obligation to make sure that the necessary safeguards for children under 13 are in application on our websites. We must conform ourselves to the Canadian laws that concern child protection on the internet.

Huh... wow... I came here to see if I could find out what the new pop up was about... If this is a Canadian law, then does it apply here? For example, will my little sister lose access to those important things if my parents do not join howrse?

Does anyone know if these would be applicable questions for the Game Play forum? I want to ask there, but don't know if it's relevant.

A lot of questions were asked on the Canadian server and I think this is not just a Canadian thing. I am just in the dark why there was no question/answer thread here and other servers.

It is my understanding the UK had something like this but I am not on that server.

Since this is an international site, they have to do what the other servers are doing. And since some one that lives in Canada can register to be on USA (just an example) they have to do it too.

So under 13's get access to virtually no other players so that thry can't play the game like other people can, how is this fair? Still, you could always change your age in the my account section.
