Yes, golden stars. Found them twice today, got 1000 equus the second time. That's odd...no one else that i'm aware of has found them, me included!
|
@DyMistress did they look like this?
Because that's what a normal equus UFO looks like. This is what the event UFOs look like, with all the stars moving independently: Also, the event UFOs have really good prizes, like Nyx Packs, HOPs, Hera's Pack, etc. Not usually 100 or 1000 equus. :3
|
They were exactly like those in the second picture. I'm finding it very odd as well. I'd understand it being a glitch if it only happened once but I found them twice yesterday! Weird.
|
Weird! Were you on someone's page? Just wondering if it could have been a custom UFO? Though I guess a custom UFO for money should still look like money...
|
No, I was on one of my horse's page then in the direct sells
|
What's even more weird is that after I caught one of the stars I started receiving normal UFOs after just 1-2 hours. Don't know what to make of it. Anyway nothing else happened today so maybe they fixed it or something.

My theory is someone messed up while setting up the gifting to newbies objective for the pinatas!
Meanwhile, Howrse has been so slow.... seems to have speeded up a little so hoping it's recovering! I couldn't use it earlier.

Click to display Okay, let's do the math on this. Say you are on a team and produce tear-bred skillor foals as your way to make passes. Right now, it takes about 3x if you are lucky to get a set of skillor twins. You have used 2 passes worth of items on every try, at a minimum - a fertility want and Atears. This of course makes no mention of the AP or MA you have used on the mare to do all these breedings. So now we are at 6 passes minimum per foal. Right now, top foals sell for 8 passes. OF COURSE the teams are going to raise that price to account for the tax being put on the sale. With the going price as is, the seller is making less than a 2 pass profit. Now let's see what the buyer has to do - You buy your skillor foal for 8 passes currently. If no items in inventory, it will cost you a minimum of 18 passes to fully dress your skillor to have the ability to maybe win the prix. This does not factor in the cost of a Pstroke. So, with purchase price, you now have 26 passes invested in your skillor. Flipping it before the prix is out of the question as you will take a one pass loss. So you enter the prix, win your event and collect 8 passes. Now you try to sell it for 25 passes, hoping to make a 7 pass profit. Unlikely you will find a buyer for that price so you'll probably end up making 3-4 pass profit for your work. YAY! But what if your skillor is not an EC booster or Prix breed? Welp, too bad for you - it is worthless. NONE of this is being addressed by these changes. I have considered this the main problem on this game for years. Ten breeds only have the chance to make a ridiculously low profit, if anything at all. The rest are simply screwed. I have been on this game since 2007. Left for a year because of the complete nonsense that was the vaccines. And now will probably leave again. I am an Ambassador and don't take quitting the game lightly. But along with the fact it has become the MOST EXPENSIVE game on the web to be competitive, the powers that be have refused to address what is wrong with this game time after time. Instead, the main focus seem to be on "cheating" by a small fraction of players - much of which is cause by their own ridiculous rules - and selling, selling, selling passes with hard-sell tactics. The game is no longer fun. Period. I have spent thousands of real dollars on this game. I didn't mind, because I had fun and the discretionary income. However, I also do not like getting ripped off and that is what this has come to. I will not be quitting alone, either. At least one other huge pass buyer will be quitting with me along with a moderate pass buyer. Long time players who have gone beyond disgusted. Play for free? Sure you can. Your "free" 10 passes per month can be used for VIP - best rate = 9.5 passes per month, EC employees = 10 passes per month, and the ever constant promos which ceased to be winnable for anyone without passes a LONG time ago. Oh, and the piggy bank? Hilarious. Tax the **** out of your players for selling horses, then ask them to PAY for the bonus you'll dole out. Just pointing out you FAIL at the first math hurdle. Following your own maths there's 6 passes worth of items spend. On twins. So you spend 3 passes per foal. Not 6. Just saying

On twins. So you spend 3 passes per foal. Not 6. Just saying She's tearing them though; twins are 1 pass and tears are 1, so for each horse she's spending two passes, so for six foals total she's spending 6 since its 2x3.

Click to display when is the pass changes happening? |
She's tearing them though; twins are 1 pass and tears are 1, so for each horse she's spending two passes, so for six foals total she's spending 6 since its 2x3. Not debating the spending 6 passes on 3 sets of teared twins. But you get out of those 6 passes / items spend TWO foals to sell for 8 passes. So those costs are NOT 6 passes per foal - it's 3 passes per foal. Leaving a 5 pass "profit margin" with a sales price of skillers of 8 passes. I am not even saying that is enough / too much, I am just saying that if one posts maths one should at least do it correctly. Or accept corrections where a step is missed

Any idea when the wandering horses promo will come around again?

The corrections pointed out by two players is in fact correct - I am wrong. However, the profit is still low and based on getting those skiller within 3 breedings, which any team can tell you does not happen with any regularity. It generally takes far more than 3 breedings to get a top skillor foal.
|
Just adding my 2 cents about skillers. I do walker skillers for Prix I tear and wand for the most part to get a decent inborn foals I average 12 covers which equals to 24 passes in wands and tears. I have had times were it has taken me to age 50 on mare to get top inborns. 17 covers or more wanded and teared. If am lucky sell 2. I'am not making a profit. So unless get lucky and get Tear P. really dont see point of tearing unless need one for my EC. Its gotten way to pricey to get top inborns for me.

That is from our server, but things sometimes aren't fully translated Click to display the Chimera in the Cards is the Tiger, which we do already have on this server. Usually when the Cards has a second Divine that's a Diamond Card prize it's one that we already have. These are all of the prize cards, although I'm still missing a few

I find it odd that Howrse is doing something for Thanksgiving, considering they're North American holidays only (Canada has one in October, I think, and the US in November). Have they always done something specifically Thanksgiving oriented?
|
yes, we've always had a thanksgiving thing. Usually star rain. One year, it wasn't stars, it was turkeys........
