Regarding the following card event, could someone tell me what special weekend offers will we get? I intend to actually try for the divine for the first time ever so any tips/strategies would also be more than welcomed!

Could someone remind me what you can buy for equus, and what for passes?
And prices if possible? I should remember from the last card event, but don't, sorry! I'm also planning...

So, I'll try to tackle this.
Please remember that
Click to display
Cards are random so you might not get what you want.
- The first offer is the usual packet, 4 cards for 95 new passes.
- The second is the Joker pack, 3 Jolly for 495 new passes.

That's about it, but there's also the flash sales.
Gold Cards cost 100k eques
Diamond cards cost 1 million.
If you buy 5 Diamond cards from the sales, you can get another for 1mil in a private sale.

Considering that the Divine is a pretty strong one, I'd place this event to a random
4 to 25 passes.
Remember that with 5% off the card packs, your 21st pack is "free" compared to the old card promos (21 packets for 2000 passes instead of 21 packets for 21 passes)

Hope this helps you? default smiley :)

Here is my conclusion with the Divine Dust on Preprod.

Horns of Plenty were good in my opinion. It took me about 14 tries before I found the Divine, the Dust meter was almost full, so it would have only taken a few more to fill it. I calculate a maximum of 20 HOPs before the meter gets full then if you have not found the Divine you can claim it, so 20 passes. Most other players claimed to have the same sort of experience.

Titan's Challenge was not as good as the HOPs. I didn't get many to test as I found the Divine fast. From what I heard of others though I figure it would take 30 TCs before the meter was full, so about 60 passes.

Golden Fleeces were the worst, getting about half the points per fleece as I did in the HOPs. Most other players said they had the same sort of luck with them. So I calculate it would take about 40 Fleeces before the dust Meter was full, or 80 passes.

Not sure if the odds and dust points will change depending on what Divine is being offered.

From your experience (I never bought card packs because I was never interested in the divines that came with the events) which ones are more convenient? Joker packs or regular ones?

Unrelated...

looks like they changed idea on the chameleon chimera, the next one will be some sort of bird chimera (there was a hint on the facebook page which showed a bit of a wing with white feathers) ... hopefully they won't release it too soon because catrina's brooch ate up more than half of the passes I had and hopefully what's left (28) and the 10 horses I'll get to send to heaven in a few days will be enough to get me the card divine default smiley (o)

From my experience with
Click to display
cards, it depends on your luck.
The first time the packets are on sale, I purchase 10 or so and then start trading my doubles (always go in order. First diamond then gold. Never waste a trade on bronze or silver you will get a ton). You WILL get doubles. Hopefully you will also get diamonds. This way, you can adjust your cards for a whole week. If by then you need only one or two cards then consider the joker pack. If not keep using the normal packet.
Also remember that cards flash sale prices are slashed by 20% the last few days.

Hope this helps default smiley :)

That's a shame on the chameleon. I know it wasn't everyone's cup of tea but I liked it.
Personally I think the polar bear looks really awkward so I'm not keen on that one. You can't please everyone!

in regards to the pas changes, does anyone know if the cost of EC employees has changed at all or are they still the same cost equivalent?

Too bad I have a roommate this year and can't just set 2-3 alarms during the night because it would be very rude and disrespectful so I probably won't be able to participate like other times. The only thing that's consolating me is that I don't care about either of the divines (Xanthos and Arion)

Getting every prize below: is that just the top places, or every place? Hoping for every, since the two fights I've taken part in I've JUST missed the divine (and believe me, I stayed up nights, so that was very frustrating!) Getting a nice pile would be a consolation prize! Also I seem to remember people saying they thought that would be fairer, so well done to Howrse for listening!

The divines: Xanthos and Arion. Xanthos is of course brilliant (though not a great perk for the owner, lol). I think Arion's perk of a Poseidon pack every month is pretty good.

Are these coming with the event after the cards then? Hope so, as I'm away for part of the cards so wouldn't be able to get on every few hours.

Some more divine dust observations!

Click to display
I tested the current Fleece and Titan's Challenge offers.

Titan's Challenge, a wild or chimera of your choice at level 5. When I got to level 5 I just kept going so I got my bar to 100%.
I got an average of 56 per try. With the lowest being 34 and highest 68. The 34 was very low, as I got only one of those and only 4 40s. Rest of them were 50 or more.
It took 18 Titan Challenges to get the bar to 100%, so 36 passes.

For the golden fleeces, I found the Greyfell so I couldn't get my bar up to 100%. But the Greyfell was way less expensive. I could only get dust 4 times, I got 123, 121, 114 and 123. 123 made the bar go up 12%, so that would've been 16-18 passes if I didn't find the Greyfell already.
Click to display
so am I to assume that we only get the divine if the bar fills up? I thought there was a chance that we could get the divine before the meter fills up?

Yes, you can still find
Click to display
the divine by chance when you open the item, but you're guaranteed to get the divine when the meter maxes out.

Christmas Sleigh

This year we get a brand new contest for Christmas: we’re going on Sleigh rides with reindeer to get gifts.

How does it work?

You own a sleigh that you have to equip with reindeer to go on a trip to get a gift.

There are several levels of destinations, that you unlock as you progress during the contest – the value of the gifts increases with the levels.

Each level also unlocks an additional Reindeer slot, for a total of 4 slots.

Every day you can open the Christmas Chest to get bonuses or aging snowflakes for the contest.

There are bonuses that you can use to travel faster.

Reindeer
There are 5 reindeer in total, including last year’s Blitzen, and several ways to obtain them: tutorial, contest, daily chets, Advent calendar, special offers.

Going on trips uses up their vitality (and time). You can refill their vitality by: feeding them, giving them to drink, feeding them a candy cane and stroking them. These also also take time and can be performed once per reindeer day.

Once they don’t have any energy left and you have used all the refill options, you can put them to bed.

If you don’t want to wait until the next update, you can wake up your reindeer by using Aging Snowflakes. You can get these Snowflakes in the daily Christmas chests, when you take your horses on Mountain rides (3/day) and on the Black Market.

When you have more than 1 Reindeer slot, the order in which you put them to bed is important and affects their vitality regeneration. For example Donner gives Blitzen 10% vitality and vice versa, Cupid gives 10% to the reindeer in front of and behing her. Check out the contest help page for all the details. You’ll have to see which strategy you want to use.

Note: during the contest, you cannot go to your Reindeer through the breeding farms, you can only care for them on the contest page.

They’ll stay on the player’s game after the contest ends, but won’t bring any bonuses.

Bonuses

You can use bonuses to accelerate the trips you take/reduce the vitality required.

Speed skis: You double the kilometers you travel on a specific trip.

Padded Horseshoes: It divides the required vitality consumed on a specific trip by 2

Additional Reindeer: It gives an additional +10 Km progress and saves 30 vitality points on a specific trip.

The North Star:
If your reindeer are too tired, you can rely on the North Star and they will progress by 35 kilometers without using up any time or vitality.

How to get Bonuses:

- take your horses for rides

- open a christmas chest every day

- from the Advent Calendar

There are 4 possible levels of destination but the number of reindeer required goes up the more valuable the prizes are

Gingerbread and Honey-spice bread belong to the pastries divines. They can have foals of the following breeds:

Thoroughbred, Gipsy Vanner, Hackney-only on versions INT, FR, DE.

The male version can be won on level 3 and the female version on level 4 in the contest.
These horses cannot be sold.

The overall prize view. They're actually grouped into different "trips" so you can choose which prizes you want. For anyone who was around for the earlier versions of the Tree contest. We had 3-4 different "Woods" and there were groups of prizes for each "Wood" and you'd choose which prize you want from that Wood

This is the overall page you see. I have the Epic Divine Journey selected and these are the Divines available in this section. The Epic Secret Journey is currently locked at the moment so you can't see what prizes are in it.

Just a note, many of the instructions haven't been translated yet, so being new, we're still figuring things outdefault smiley :)

This looks so cool and fun! So we are going to get more cute, but pretty useless reindeer, do you have pictures of all of them yet?

Ugh now I need to save passes, I let myself buy one brooch with all my diamonds and spent some passes on a really good deal for a metal element in sales. I also wanted to complete the Thanksgiving event... What to do, what to do.default smiley xd

I am also annoyed that I used my 24hours of VIP membership from Altair the day before so I couldn't become a tester. I have played this game for almost 7 years and never got to be a testerdefault smiley (d)
