And Shishi had not finished posting when I replied! LOL, there is a lot.....
Replying to stuff in posts 3 onward... Click to display Black market... looks good so far Team stuff: doesn't effect me, but sounds good Divine dust: brilliant Diamond changes: being able to change skills on more divines could really shake things up! Not sure how it will work out, but I'm sort of excited to see!

RowanGreen: its from the ongoing preprod session right now Got access 20min ago XD Click to display So pretty definitely on it's way. I wonder how long it will take? If it's going to take the same time as other things on preprod then I guess it's going to be after the pinatas!

Another thing I found
Click to display RodwanGreen:My guess is this changes will come as soon the Card Promo arrives...so...november?

Another thing I found Click to display RodwanGreen:My guess is this changes will come as soon the Card Promo arrives...so...november? Click to display Thinking about it, it would make sense if they are testing the cards with the pass changes in place, if they are expecting to have the pass changes in place when it goes live. So that would mean probably in the gap between the pinatas and cards? That would be November wouldn't it? Doubt I'll be buying APs at that price though.

Click to display Have to say I actually like the majority of these upcoming changes. |
Click to display One thing I noticed: Its possible to sell the horses/ divine horses for either passes or equus...but not for both equus and passes. Hopefully this will be changed before the release but...cant promise anything.

I believe it said somewhere that Click to display once they revamp the pass system, horses will only be able to be sold for equus OR passes, but not for a combination |
Click to display I appreciate the introduction of divine dust. Anyway, could anyone show the prize list for the cards? I'm really curious Thanks!
|
Click to display Part of the available prizes (there are the gift-card section as well, where a wild horse is hiding... however its too early for me to be able to unlock those cards just yet).
|
Click to display Wild horse, yay! That's all I wanted to hear, thanks

Click to display *chokes* Wait, we won't be able to sell horses for equus and passes?? Why are they removing that? What if a horse is worth more than their max value in passes or equus? Even if they raise the max price, it isn't by that much, only a bit! We aren't solving anything with this, just making it harder! I was excited for this at first, but come on! And don't get me started on the 10% fee. Come off it, that's ridiculous.

A fee to sell your horse?? Why?? I dont understand why a fee??

A fee to sell your horse?? Why?? I dont understand why a fee?? So people will cheat less.... |
phönix:
Click to display Unfortunately, this may create another issue. Now, people will be selling horses just for passes...so equus will be completely worthless.
|
Well, gee...
Click to display Just when I thought the pass updates couldn't be any more ludicrous... So only now we can only sell with one or the other currency? What was that about “more freedom” they told us? Perhaps someone at Owlient needs to look up what the words “more” and “freedom” mean in a dictionary. And a 10% sales tax? Seriously? TEN PERCENT? I guess it could have been worse--and even if it WAS lower it would still be ridiculously unfair--but 10%? On a 100 pass sale, that's 10 passes lost to oblivion. Real world sales taxes are usually around 8%! What gives? And don’t even get me started on the idea of buying AP in the black market. We can sell them for equus as of now, so unless they’re either going to be for sale in the BM for equus or we will be able to sell them for passes after the update, this will be a total rip off. Also hi, long time lurker on this thread, first time poster

moonbunny:
Click to display You can buy Aps for passes even today,so that is a minor adjustment lol :P The smallest at least comparing to some others XD

Cheat less by adding a fee, in my opinion that will make people cheat more as they have to spen their own money to sell a horse that they may need to sell as they have no equus. What happens if u sell a horse and the 10% fee is greater than what u have do u go in debt?

Click to display You can buy Aps for passes even today,so that is a minor adjustment lol :P The smallest at least comparing to some others XD Yes, but that's never been pushed. No where on the site does it try to advertise that fact. Click to display Right now, anyone CAN buy them that way, but its like buying equus with actual money--no one really does, even though its possible. THIS seems like a way to make AP seem more valuable than they really are. If we can sell them for 100e, then since everything can be sold back in the store for 1/2 the buying price we can assume an AP's normal value is 200 equus. If they are added to the black market like a BMI, people will be more inclined to buy them with passes even though they are worth about 200e. It'd be like if equus were suddenly sold in the BM; sure, you already CAN buy them with actual money, but why would you? So like I said, unless we will now be able to sell them for passes--or, on the more unlikely side, buy them from the BM with equus--then they are being over valued. Really, it just feels like a way to trick people into using more passes.

Well, since the ambassadors thread got shut down for some reason:
Click to display Currency "The new system allows players to sell horses for only passes OR equus. To reiterate, you will only be able to sell horses for one or the other, not both." Ridiculous "Maximum price The maximum price in the direct sales has been increased. From 1,000,000 equus to 1,500,000 equus From 2,000 passes to 2,500 passes" While this is a step in the right direction, it's next to useless because the only horses that people don't want to sell in a "legal" manner are ones that are worth /way/ more than 20 passes. A horse that is currently worth 25 passes, the owner is probably going to settle for 20 if they need the money. A horse that is currently worth 40 passes, the owner is not going to settle for 20 or 25. An increase to 25 from 20 is hardly anything for very valuable horses. Maybe it would help to be able to buy for 25 passes and 1.5 million at the same time, but hey guess we're not allowed to do that anymore "Fees in the sales A 10% fee is introduced in the sales. When the seller sets a price for a horse, they can see clearly how much they will get and how much is taken by the fees. This applies to any horse sale between two players (auctions, direct sales, reserved sales,…)" We knew this already, but now that we know it's 10%, as moonbunny said a huge amount of currency is going to be lost for no reason. Again, a sales tax has no relation to cheating and will not curb cheating no matter how much Howrse tries to make us believe it will. "Piggy bank and Promotional Offers The equus and passes taken from the fees end up in a piggy bank. Once the meter is full, it triggers promotional offers where you can buy black market items for equus (instead of passes) for a limited time." I am cautiously optimistic about this, but I wonder how Howrse will value 1 pass now. If it's above the going rate for pass horses, it'll cause a massive adjustment in how players buy their pass horses and make it harder for non pass buyers to obtain passes. Also, some players myself included almost never buy items from the black market and only really need a few BMIs from promos. Some will lose money in sales, but then not gain much benefit from the piggy bank. "Most Black Market Items now cost less than previously." Guessing that the golden apple is going to one of the few that cost more, considering how Howrse rarely offers them during promos, and when they are offered they're harder to get than other 1 pass items. As a collector I hope I'm wrong Everything else looks like an improvement, especially posts 1, 5, and 6

Click to display Excuse me, I do not frequently come to this forum due to the ridiculous amounts of drama I have heard of. Howrse can shove it in no uncertain terms with this sales tax. It does not benefit the players. It only benefits big business. |
Click to display I appreciate the introduction of divine dust. Anyway, could anyone show the prize list for the cards? I'm really curious Thanks! What is this?

Click to display I like the new changes coming. Hopefully the change in competitions will help blup my horses who have very little wins. The 10% fee on sales doesn't bother any, especially if it goes towards a piggy bank used during promotions. I'm unsure how I feel about the changes coming on diamonds and passes, its something I will have to experience first. I'm really excited for these changes. |
