Yes. Sire's second breed. Usually, to get the right breed on the bottom (I'll use my Trakes as an example), you want to use a mare of the breed you want dominant. For the Trakes, I was able to have someone on the Trake team breed the most recent mare BLUP to the highest public Selle stud (resulting in the foals' sire). That resulted in Selle on top, Trake on bottom in genetics, so when crossed to the Appy/Gypsy mare, successfully threw Trake foals. However, there are occasions (for example, the majority of my Noko/Stangs, Noko.Appies) where the dominant breed, rather than the recessive mare's breed, ends up as the second listed breed. In that case, you either have to try another stud, mare, or both.

What's a good cross combination for stamina improvement? I've reached 7300 GP so I'm not too concerned about gaining. I'm working with 50/50 Arab-Gypsies but I'd like to add in more breeds as their stam isn't improving as quickly as I'd like

If you check the rankings, Gypsies have the highest stamina GP on the game, so if you're already using a Gypsy then you won't find a breed with higher stamina. Arabians are second best stamina, with Tekes third I think.

redfox - Selles are really good jumpers. I mixed a Selle/Crip (75% Selle/25% Crio) and my mix has won 2 rosettes currently. I haven't entered her in any more yet. So probably a Selle and another breed that has jumping as one of the top three skills would be good.

KWPN x Selles are great...If the foal comes out as a KWPN.

If it comes out a selle then breed only comps won't be winnable.

Hmmm, Selle/Crio/KPWN/Shetland? Just naming some jump breeds here, but I may actually do this mix. Any one have an available covering? Selle/Crio preferably?

My Selle/Crio stud isn't BLUPed yet, but I can try to finish up my newest KWPN/Crio if you want?
I use all studs and mares as the basis for my crossbreeds (aka grades). I find that using parents of non-mixed lineage will give me higher skill offspring. I am currently trying to develop a great gallop racer using my original horse (Snoopy, if anyone cares to look), breeding to an Appaloosa mare (Shadow of Night), whom I got from a retired breeder years ago.

Does anyone have suggestions for a high-demand cross? I'm looking to expand my business in breeding, and I like to use my own in-house studs.

PM me with information!

Many thanks in advance,

Here is the Crio/KWPN stud. Or, given a day or two, I do have this Selle/Crio stud.
Wow when you get 20 wins all in one day (I've honestly never had this happen before)!! Hopefully everyone who (like me) lives in USA and celebrates Thanksgiving had a good one!

Him and his twin (to start my Crio/Selle lines and my Crio/Selle/KWPN lines) were both really easy to get wins for. Really liking the cross.
