i need help i am thinking to cross breed my mare but not sure what breed of horse to breed to any ideas
By Retired breeder, 27th May 2010 14:38:21
Everything depends on what kind of comp you want it to be good at. Arabians excel in cross country and paints do well in races.

I just looked at your horses and since you have arabs maybe an Irish Hunter would go nicely? I have heard they are a good cross.
By Retired breeder, 27th May 2010 15:01:47
I'm starting a cross that includes
25% Shetland Pony
25% Arabian
25% Thoroughbred
and I haven't decided what else to cross if anybody can help me figure it out I was thinking maybe a Hanoverian or a Quarter Pony but i dont have any experiance on cross breeding
Anyone who has read the level 10 achievements knows that one of them is to breed a horse with the following breed specs:

37.5% Arabian
12.5% Mustang
37.5% Quarter Pony
12.5% Friesian

Since this is the crossbreeding bonanza place to be, does anyone know what you'd need to start with to get said cross?

My brain, it no worky...

Never mind, think I figured it out:

Pure Arab to Pure Mustang
breed foal back to pure Arab

Pure QP to Pure Frie
breed foal back to pure QP

breed 2nd gen foals together...

That should come out right?

Cherokee Lynn - if blatant adverts like the one you just posted continue players like you are risking having this post shut down for *all* of us for continuous rule breaking.

3/8 quarter pony, 3/8 arab, 1/8 mustang, 1/8 fresian. Quater x arab. Breed that with a mustang x fresian so you have 25% of each, then breed that foal with the quarter x arab default smiley ;)
By Retired breeder, 27th May 2010 16:58:40
I think thats how you get it default smiley :d default smiley (lol)

Filly Im BLUPing

I have her twin but I dont have the BMs for her so she has to wait. Maybe I can sell her. If I were to sell her what price should I put her for?
By Retired breeder, 27th May 2010 17:57:28
You've bred her with tears, you at least want to get a pass or equal item or equus back on her

Hello... Can you guys help me with my new foal
http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=10071967
I already started training and i tried some comps, but he doesn't win. Can you please help me build a training program for him?
By Retired breeder, 27th May 2010 19:12:06
My training program is on page 113 on here
By Retired breeder, 27th May 2010 19:16:34
Thanks and what about the barrel races and the speed?
By Retired breeder, 27th May 2010 19:18:27
Don't bother with barrel races whilst blupping...they use a lot of energy. Just do what I've posted and your wins will come fine
By Retired breeder, 27th May 2010 19:20:40
Thanks! I ve been searching for a training program for soo long and everybody just told me " Do the training and then got to comps... Do some rides and lessons... "
Thanks this will really help me!
By Retired breeder, 27th May 2010 19:24:04
That's worst way you can do it unless your horse is a top skiller and loaded with bm's
By Retired breeder, 27th May 2010 20:25:52
foxxxyblonde is right i usually do rides then training then comps then work on lessons i've blupped a Shetland pony like that and finished up at 20yr
Uhhh... Cross breedings got to be done in some special way now? I just choose a male and female horse and breed them (as long as their mine)
