hi guys,
This is my new filly, produce with some very tricky crossing, she has about 8 different breeds of horse and is barely Paso but I did it! im so excited with her GP of 692.02 before games and 14 stars!! 1st i know of!

1st: Fun cross suggestion: In the past, I've bred Paint/Hano crosses b/c I wanted the jumping skill with the flashy color. However, I found that those crosses did not do great in jumping comps. (You'd think they'd dominate, right? They didn't/don't.)

So I shifted it. Blue Minx (under my Golden Apple Haven tab) is a Hano/Paint cross. She was one of the easiest horses I've ever blupped...got her 20 wins in a snap. She CLEANS UP in barrels, even before I put the extra BM items on her.

2nd: Any suggestions for a good Marwari cross? I like the new Marwari image and would like one...course, I'm going to crossbreed. I'm thinking breeding one of my Thoroughbred/IH crosses to a Marwari stallion might be fun?

Mylo-I have two paint/hanos, and they do clean up in paint jump comps-lol! Both of mine is also in the paint jump rankings...

Mylo-Marwari/IH is nice Follow My Lead She doens't have the best GP/stars/skills but she's pretty nice and is good in barrels. Here her colt who shows as marwari Skedaddle. He's nice if you want to get a lot of breeds into the cross.

Interesting that your paint/hano crosses do well in jump comps when mine didn't. I'm curious, did they do well before you added the BM items? I usually add a chronos timer but rarely add other BM items unless I get them free through Howrse events.

So for the first time I didn't put in "100%" in the searching-for-a-cover spots, and up popped a great 20-star Mustang/Paint cross! So I bred him with my Mustang/PSH cross, and got this foal (and his twin):

♂ Time Terminus.

I like them! My first mustang-dominant crosses with a star in dressage! Of course I had to go outside my PSH/Mustang plan to do it, but there you go...

Mylo-I always BM my comp horses to the max, or near to it. I don't see the point in making a comp horse otherwise-JMO.
The two I have are also geldings, which gives great bonuses...mine were also bred from the top hanos and paints at the time-meaning they had much higher GP than was in public covers...I think that made some difference too-and thats why one is ranked #3, and one is #5-Bm items have nothing to do with skills, along with being bred with Tears-which I see some people don't do here...but mine run into the other ranking skillers-some of which arn't loaded with Bm items, who have beat my boys...

Great horses. I am working with my PH colt so that he will be good enough to breed to my Arabian mare, hopefully for a good cross foal. So you think that those two breeds will make a good combo?

James...it's up to you as to what you want to accomplish with the foal. Do the three top skills of the PH complement the three top skills of the Arabian? Do you want stars in all skills? Do you just want a cute foal out of your two horses? It all depends.

Pixie, I hope you don't think I was saying I didn't think you shouldn't put BM items on your paint/hano crosses...of course you can do whatever you want. I was just trying to figure out why my paint/hano crosses didn't do well in jumping comps and it sounds like the BM item difference might be it.
