I would recommend crossing it with a KWPN to enter rosette show jumping competitions. I have a cross like that that kept winning lower level KWPN only rosettes even after he was a few months outdated

Thank you for your help! I'm going to try that cross out today default smiley :)
Hi y'all! I just got back into crossbreeding and I got a purebred Mustang mare - anyone know a great western comps cross for her? Maybe a Marwari, I was thinking, or a Nokota, but I don't have much experience with western crosses. default smiley ^)

Yes. I've got 2. One is a Gelding in my GA coat breeding farm and the other (female) is in my breed inventions tab- under non-pure tabs.

What would be a good breed to cross with an Arabian to get an all around horse for classical conpetitions?

Perhaps try a TB, I think that would be a good fit. Or a Selle, but make it Arab dominant. Selle dominant crosses don't win because their GP is generally lower than the highest GP Selle. default smiley :@

GV crosses do super well in cross country! Top ones even win lots of rosettes!

My Selle Francais mare

Any recommendations as to a potential cross? Would love to strengthen the trot, but I don't want to reduce the jumping or speed! I'm at a lose, HELP haha

I know it's not a KWPN, but I have a high GP Selle x Vanner you could try? Here she is: Princess. Let me know.

I did this as an experiment and he turned out better than I had expected

Do this cross with a higher GP mare and tears, he will be a monster!

I have crunched some numbers and it looks like you'll need to do an initial cross with a paso then breed back with another paso x selle or kwpn. to get the right numbers.

I am in the process of doing 2 blups once I get the necessary bits that I require. I can help you with what I have to increase the trot and stabilize the speed and jumps. This will also increase your dressage as well.

Im going to try and breed 2 crossbred horses with a total of 4 different breeds and im just wondering about which breed will the foal come out.

I have not decided in the breeds so will use an example to try and explain:

Dam: Arab dominant (50 GV x 50 Arab)

Sire: Lipi Dominant (50 Lipi x 50 KWPN)

In this situation which breed will the foal come out?
2nd breed indicated on the sire ?

Thank!

This is a 4-way that I have done

the dominant breed takes on the grand-dam as shown in the foal from the link I have used is a Standardbred which is what the grand-dam is.

Yes, I prefer to go by the sire's second listed breed (KWPN), as the breed order listing displays randomly. If the stallion you plan on using has a brother with the breed order listed as KWPN then Lipi second, the foal would be a Lipizzan instead because Lipizzan is listed second.

Here is an example that will give you a side by side family tree comparison.
This is a Russian Don dominant 4-way with a Russian Don as the grand dam. The sire has Russian Don listed second in his genetics.
This is her Akhal-Teke dominant cousin who is also a 4-way. Their sire's are full brothers, but the Teke dominant's sire has Teke listed second, whereas his brother had Russian Don listed second. The breed order flipped when I bred the paternal grandparents again.

Hi!default smiley ^) I started crossbreeding recently because I like to see the results of the GP and the skills on the foals.default smiley :d I wanted a Welsh pony that will be doing pretty well in gallop comps, but I wanted to improve the speed skill for a little bit. So yesterday, I was breeding a Thoroughbred (which have higher speed skill than the Welsh ponies) mare with a Welsh pony stallion. And here he is, Hᴇxɪᴅᴇɴᴛ!default smiley :ddefault smiley (l) Do you think he will be doing well in gallop comps when he´s fully trained?default smiley :) Here is a link to Hᴇxɪᴅᴇɴᴛ if you wanna take a look at him: https://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=56197398

I think he's going to be great! default smiley ^) I'm very curious to how he really turns out, but I think you have a very great combination there! default smiley 8-)
