Thank you everyone for answering my question!

I've been working on breeding Arabian x Friesian horses with Friesian as the dominant breed.

Here's a sample! She's ranked #1 in Friesian stamina at the moment: http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=50871766

Since I'm not a VIP I can't switch disciplines until after 5 years default smiley :'( So I know these crosses would excel at Western Pleasure and potentially reining, but I'm looking for something I can win rosette comps with. I started her off and finished her 20 wins in WP, and then switched to classical cause I was thinking of putting her in cross country rosette comps for Friesians eventually. Turns out there aren't any!

Does anyone know if there are rosette-level Friesian cutting competitions? Or any other rosette comps this cross could have a chance at eventually? (I'm reserving BM items like tears and Poseidon Pack for a particularly good breeding, LOL!) I really want to win my first rosette and not have it be a conventional horse like a PB skiller. I also don't know if I should stay with Western competitions or do the classical switch at 5 years like I did with her, because she's not doing AS well in classical comps as I had hoped.

Thanks!

Dark is finally done!

Haven't checked any ranks for her yet but there's part one of my Friesian/Selle. Now I just need to finish the stallions I have and then I can breed the 2nd gen.
Hello! Anyone have a over 1000 GP stallion in gallop and trot that they are willing to give covers from? I really need one. default smiley *-)

Hello! I'm very new to the whole cross-breeding idea and need as much advice as I can get. default smiley :)

I'm curious about breeding a Selle Francais mare to Marwari, since I've seen lots of KWPNxSelleFrancais crosses. Would a SellexMarwari cross do well in anything? I'm not sure how to tell. Thanks!

Have a look at this stud. They are great crosses and really easy to get wins with default smiley ^)

Oh wow, thank you! I'm definitely gonna give it a go once I can get more of my Selle mares and my Marwari stud blupped. default smiley :)
I'm having some difficulty with my 50/50 crosses. Highland keeps showing up first instead of second in the breed list, but I need it second because I'll be using it as the stud for a 4-way cross. Here is the mother. Her three foals with this Highland sire(who was bolted) came up with the breeds wrong, while her other HP foal turned out right.

Has anyone else had this problem? Should I just keep trying, or get another set of horses? Any help would be great.

According to Contact Us, breed order is random in even crosses. So you won't always get the same breed order with each cover.

Sometime told me a few weeks ago that if they needed a specific breed order to try using a different stallion if possible as that helped them flip the breed order. So you can either try using a different sire, or keep trying to see if you can flip it.

To add, I have three 4-ways with the same exact parents and each horse has a different breed order, so maybe you're due for some good luck if you try again?default smiley (lol)

Okay guys, I have a question on the top three skills.

Eyes has Speed/Dressage/Jump as her top three skills. Now my question is, why would her skill set be different than my other Fry/Selle crosses? They all have Stamina/Dressage/Jump as their top three skills.

Similar to how you can calculate total GP of a horse by taking the average of the parents, you can do the same with figuring out individual genetics. For most of my crosses I always calculate out what I'm going to get. Especially in this case as the stamina and speed genetics of your horse are quite close together. The genetics of the parents you used were such a number that allowed you to flip the skills.

If the dam of the horse you posted was still alive you could compare the genetics of this cross' parents to others you've done in the past to get a better visual of why you got a different skill set with this horse.

I tried again, twice. Up to five same order, so I'm going to try a different horse. Thank you for the help!

Hey guys,

I finished blupping my Friesian/Arab stud. He's ranked #1 in Friesian stamina right now (will be at least, after the update! The current #1 mare is mine also.)

PM if you want a cover, I'd be happy to give 500e covers if you're interested default smiley ;) Or PM me if you want to breed this cross with me, I'd be very happy to collaborate!

I'm new to cross breading but have just bred this Vanner/Selle cross Crimson Flame

What do you think he will excel in classical or western? I'm not sure which way to go with him

Hey guys! default smiley ^)

I'm new to Howrse, but really liking the idea of crossbreeding! Seems more realistic and more options open as breeders! Are there any big do's and don'ts when it comes to which breeds to put together? Any guidelines to ensure a good result foal?

Can I have one for this mare??
