JT- that is just a suggestion for minimal profit. You can sell it for more. It's not a fail if you train them to prove themselves in comps.

Thats the problem though im not very good at training. Does anyone have a good traing schedule that works and does not involve BM items?

Nice combination, I've been debating a pairing of my new 22 star TB to my 16 star Morgan, but I was worried that the resulting 16 star TB/Morgan might be a bit of a challenge to blup, silly me!

Hmm... I'm kind of new to this so i'm not sure but probaly yes because appys are much like paints and I bred my paint mare to a TB stally and the foal turned out great. So my vote is yes though i'm not quite sure

I love doing monster crosses that 'improve' the breed.

so for instance, breeding a really fast horse of a 'slow' breed - so you take a good paint for instance and breed to a good IH, then the result is a fast IH. Love it

Tabby your foals are soo cute! Love the little filly especially. They have such good stars too. I got so excited last night when I did the games on my cross filly and realized she would gain a star! For some reason I stashed up lots of aging points when I did just purebreds and now that I do crosses I breed and end up aging the mare because I just can't wait to fnd out what she is having! Guess with my purebres it is just more predictable.

Tabby I also think your foals are amazing.I wold age my mare so we could see the foal but I used all my aging points....again

OK, I am excited now. Just bred a pair of Frie foals that have a GP of 737, 16* stars each. And they have stars in all six skills!

I Bolted one to have a matched set, and if I cross them to one another, they'll pick up another star after two generations, PLUS another star in the generation after that!

I think I may be onto something here...

itunes, six-skillers have been around for a while now, the challenge is to get multiple stars in each skill (because their GP is so spread out). They tend to be low-GP, low-starred horses. I am trying to fight that battle.

Eponym is one of the best when it comes to six-skill crosses, and I am concentrating mostly on Friesian crosses because they come with tremendous dressage and are one of the very few breeds that offer good trot numbers.

The six-skill philosophy seems to go up and down in popularity, can't really figure out what drives that. For me, it's been an obsession since day one, lol!

Another piece of the puzzle has appeared.

I know have a pair of [url=http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=9858407] these. GP is still in the high 730s, but after a few generations that should be up in the 740s. Combined with the extra stars I'll be picking up along the way, that should provide some exceptional studs and comp horses.

Most exciting is the dressage - speed may not be great, but that dressage should help tremendously in comps of various types. I have another similar pair with dressage of 180+, but they missed the speed star by five skill points. Am wondering if it'd be worth it to cross them in and lose that star for a gen or two, then pick it back up down the line while keeping the dressage boost.

Any ideas?
