Clematis, what do you think of my Friesian/Hano mixes? I have a Friesian dominant that holds #1 for Frieisians jumping. I also have a Hano dominant that holds #1 for Hano dressage.
Good work, MuckieDuckie!
Getting all stars to the top! Sure shows that crosses can hold their own in the rankings!default smiley :o
It takes much planning and work to make a good cross bred.

Thanks Clematis. I've found that the Hanos and Friesians are the only ones mixed together that get the all stars . . . for now. I've also found that with the right combo, I can get some all stars with other variety mixtures too. Fusible Locus and Intrinsic Caracole were so much fun to work.

Thank you chickentender!

I've been doing crosses only breeding for awhile now. My main project takes a lot longer. I've mentioned him before, but I have a 25% mix with Hano dominant that is still a great comp horse, even though he has no stars.

I'm currently working on getting a little bit of every horse breed into one horse to see what the statistics, skills, stars, and GP are. I'm still working on it though!
Take a look at my Jumbles tab. I have a couple of 18 all stars hiding in there.default smiley ^)

I'm waiting on the GPs to increase a bit more in Friesians and then I'm going to have me some fun!default smiley :-))

They work quite well together because the connie is the equivalent of Arabians, just in pony form default smiley :)

(points at Eponym) Blame HIM. I used one of his studs to start making the all-star Paints and if it weren't for him I'd still be trying to figure out how to do it.

All his fault! I never would've gotten so into it if it weren't for his fantastic cross-babies!

Shame! Shame! Shaaaaaaaaame!

I'm thinking of crossing arabians with something. But I have no idea what, I was thinking maybe appys? But here are what I *don't* want suggested to cross them with:

Thoroughbreds
Quarter Horses (Done with those... entirely. loldefault smiley xd)
Any type of ponies (Not yet, have one planned with ponies for laterdefault smiley (l))
Standy/hackney
By Retired breeder, 18th April 2010 02:21:58
And paint horses.

(Because im planning on doing paints/appys)default smiley :-))
A good cross could be friz, I don't think anyone is doing friz/arab crosses....not to my knowledge anyway default smiley (lol). IH/Arab crosses are fairly common and dominate the dressage board for Arabians default smiley :p

Hmmmm, Hano would be a good cross. Could make a good jumping horse

Maybe, but I kind of want to dump everything with hanos and just ignore them for a while. I have to admit I'm kind of sick of them... I see them EVERYWHERE! lol. Anything else?
