I actually have more fun crossbreeding than purebreeding these days! My best crosses are a Hano/IH as it wins a lot in cross comps!

I love crossbreeding, so it is what I am consentrating on right now, starting with quality purebreds, and then going from there.
i haven't done any crossbreeding in a while, but i'm maybe thinking about starting it once my favorite IH is fully trained and BLUPPED. I'll breed her with my prize TB. Elisa is my IH mare and Methuselah is my TB stallion.

I'm thinking of QH crosses. Any idea what to cross with for a racing horse.
By Retired breeder, 9th April 2010 03:42:42
Sosana either an arab, or ih, or friesian in that would make a neat cross
By Retired breeder, 9th April 2010 04:05:24
Just cross bred my TB stally with a new QH mare and came out with two nice Appendix colts...nice skills...so far so good lol

Has anyone crossed brumbies with anything? If so what, and how did they turn out?
By Retired breeder, 9th April 2010 16:21:02
what would be best to cross connies with?
By Retired breeder, 9th April 2010 16:46:08
EternalLoveMite: It would probably be best to wait to get into crossbreeding until you can see genetic information. The results of crossing can be kind of loopy unless you're very careful and know what you're doing.
I am cross breeding Paints and Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds and Irish Hunters.

Does anyone have suggestions for me?? Please private message me cause I will not be back in this forum today.

Thanks!!!!
