i and going to breed my mare again...
By Retired breeder, 4th April 2010 23:44:49
I'm not new to the game, if you add the days of my previous account you have 636 days TOTAL on howrse.. so I know what I am doing.

I have started with a Connie, last time I didn't. I started with a Welsh, but now I want to do Connies... I'm trying to focus on having a Connie cross with high jumping, while maintaining my stamina and dressage for a ultimate cross country pony.. what should I cross??
By Retired breeder, 4th April 2010 23:46:11
Also I understand if I have to do any tweaking, and cross connies with more than one breed. Like I was wondering if I could do any connie crosses also to have high stamina and high trot.. if you could help me with that one too. Thanks. default smiley :)
Abbsolute, if you want to maintain stamina and dressage then your best bet to cross them with may be arabian. Hunter or morgan would be best for dressage but the stamina wouldn't be as good.

Arabian? Okay... I'll try that, and I was thinking maybe trying connie/hunter and then add a hanoverian also? But I know that hanoverians are horrible at dressage and have nothing to do with stamina, so probably not unless I did this:

hanoverian/arabian then breed the hano/arab with a connie/hunter??? default smiley *-)
By Retired breeder, 4th April 2010 23:56:44
Like Dr Zig said, I would suggest a arabian. Hunters are good in dressage and stamina, but they aren't in jumping - their other skill is galloping...

That might work... (the last one you said, with breeding crosses to making crosses) but I'm not sure... I admit I'm not *that* experienced with breeding crosses. Maybe someone else can help a little more than I can. (Like Dr Zig) Sorry. default smiley :)
