Omg I have soo many of these! I used to collect them from age 7 to 17 but stopped because of my age. Reading this makes me want to rekindle the passion. I collected horses and elves mostly.

You're never to old to collect Schleich. I'm 23 and I love this models so much! My favorite are animals (horses, farm, wildlife, pets) and knights. Got the big white war elephant, the old green dragon and the bright green sleeping baby dragon. I also have three fairys from the first fairy collection from 2011 I guess. The one with the baby, with the dark unicorn und the fairy with the yellow Gipsy Vanner.
For now I try to collect some old animal models from the past 30 years.
At all I own over 200 Schleich models, most of them are horses and dogs.

Cool! But yes you are never too old to collect Schleich. Play or just models. Don't worry about the age limits they're just suggestions.

I have over a hundred. Some are duplicates! My parents keep telling me to sell my collection but I will never. Ever. Do. So.

Same here! They keep saying how much money I will have and they keep trying to bribe me. But it's the memories I want, not the money.

What was your first?

Mine was the retired male zebra.

I got three first Schleich models when I was four years old. Now they are retired and I still have them in my possition. The brown arabian stallion, the chestnut quater horse mare and a black and white retiered cow.
The mare has taken a lot of damage caused of my playtime with her when I was younger. She has only three legs XD
The cow did it way better, she only lost one of her ears. The stallion is still fine

LOL! I have the arabian stallion too. I named him Pongo. I got him from a friend.

Wow nice discussion going on in here...yay! I wish i could remember what my first Schleich was but for the life of me i cant! And i only started collecting about six years ago, give or take a year. I guess i didn't realize how important to me it was going to be. I'm pretty sure it was a horse though, since that's what i first started collecting.

And i agree...you are never too old to collect them! I'm 32 next month and didn't start collecting until i was an adult (because i didn't even know they existed before that!).

Wow I mainly have horse club and my parents keep saying sell them they come for money you know and I’m like there so putty and fun! Tho

They're yours aren't they? Then don't sell them if you love them so much, I find schleich are for memories not money or population.
