I know this is old, but I just saw this. I am a collector myself and I actually live in Germany where these models are made and it is pronounced Shh-lie-ch with 'sh' and 'ch' being very soft. So no strong 'ch' like in change, but a soft sound where the c rolls into the h. If you guys look up ''Schleich Pferde "Haul" on youtube, a girl who speaks german says it at 0:12.

The CH should not sound like SH. It's just how some of us american borns may end up pronouncing it when trying to speak german.

Can anyone tell me what this tack set is? I got it for Christmas but I haven't seen it before. It also came with a red and black plaid blanket and a brown halter.

You're getting the 2016 Schleich? Lucky! I'm hoping to get some for my birthday in February, mostly because I would rather not spend my own money if I can help it. XD I'm cheap that way.

OK so I am wanting to buy a dressage horse with tack and a rider. How much are they and do the sets come with the horse as well?
Also, what is the best place to order schleich things off of that would ship to most places?

My family has loads of these! Not all horses, my sister has a dragon and stuff. But overall we have about 10-15 horses, a few tack / rider sets, and a set of jumps. We also have some homemade stables and meddows, and a big barn by a different brand. I'll post some photos sometime.

So, the dressage riding set is aroung 12-15 dollars US. I loooove buying my things on amazon since it s very trustworthy, and no matter where you are, they can ship there.

I agree that schleich should make more than just Mare, Stallion and Foal. They are discontinuing the yearling paint and Tennessee walker. They should make more yearlings.

Bah, the ones they are replacing the TWH with doesn't look good at all. Although the paint foal is adorable! Guys, I think I might quit(again). I just am spending to much time on this and less with my family. Plus, I could use a break from debates, kind of sick of always being told what I am doing wrong.

Ya, but oh well. I am that kid that loves debates, and can't hold my tongue, so it is my fault. I may stay on, but come just once a day, for 30 min at the most.
