I think something regal, maybe something sweet, because if you look hard at that black face (sure is hard to pick out where the forelock and eyes start and end) his face could actually pass as a mare

So, on Black Friday I got a safari TWH and Chincoteague mare. I was going to make the Chinco a chestnut, but I just never finished her. Because i really just plain didnt feel like it. Then, I started thinking about my favorite pony, Ember. She's a QPxpaint, mapped dappled buckskin paint. Probably the prettiest horse I will ever ride. So, my Chincoteague pony is now a Quarter Pony/Paint cross. And she's almost done, too! Eyes, hooves, mapping, and most likely some touch ups. She isn't perfect- her mane is too long, and the mane and tail I should've gone just a little lighter on, and of course her marking are off and I can't remember exactly what her face markings looked like, so I went by the fact that I could see bits of white on the sides of her face. Although I am pretty proud of the socks

Although I hate some of the 2016s, I hope they'll be better in person, and, i will say I have higher expectations for 2016 horses than I do for the new Star Wars . I still am very dissapointed in the barn, but, I almost want to get the truck and trailer and repaint them!
(Because let's be real, have you ever seen a dark pink pickup truck? I've hardly ever seen light-medium pink cars. Not trucks.)

I actually like the stagamite one jo, magnesium or something from the periodic table would be gorgeous! Thank you for the inspiration!

Wanting to get someone some horses for Christmas, but I'll probably only be able to get her one so out of these options which would you guys like most?
-New Gypsy mare
-New Gypsy stally
-Bayala horse
(they have mostly everything else and I can't afford a playset....)

New tinker mare or a bayala. I really like two of the bayala rainbow horses. But, if you're willing you could get any horse and customize it. They sure don't have that one yet!

I could customize one!! I hadn't thought of that.... If i have enough time between when I get the horse and Christmas I might just do that

Awesome! If you have time and are using acrylic paints, you can easily have a horse done in a day or two. And keep in mind that the horse doesn't have to be a really cool color- hardly any Schleich seem to just be bay or chestnut, but a lot of horses actually are.

I was thinking I'd make it into a likeness of a mare we used to know.... So pretty much I just need blue/black/white/red paint, a sponge, and a horse.... I'll show you guys the finished product after Christmas as this person has an account and may see it...

Why blue and red? Is the mare like a mixed roan/blue roan or something?!

She was blue but the red is for her nose (I'm going to mix it with white)... On that note, what Schliech mares (that are available in stores now) have hair on the right side only?

I know what you mean. A lot of models don't. The Haflinger mare has a braided mane on the right side. Or, you could always pick a running mare so the hair is behind. Sorry, I can't think of more right now!

The paint 2015 stally, has it on the right side...I think.
