Yay! My Arab mare custom is done! I'm really happy with her, except do she still a little bit of texture from the failed dapples.... For Stella I'm going to try using oil pastel for a very subtle dappling

Anyways...life is quite hectic right now...we had major flooding yesterday and now we are expecting 5-15 more inches of rain... The local animal shelter is by the river and floods easily so we are fostering a cat for a weekend!! If I get a pic I'll show y'all. She's super sweet and we named her Sadie, My dad thinks that she may not go home to the animal shelter after this One problem...she may give birth over the weekend Our basement also floods easily, so my barn is sopping wet right now and I can't do much without getting wet. I told my mom that my barn was on a flood plain and they has to evacuate the fancy show horses....lol she looked really worried and then asked how wet the basement was. I told her from our point of view, it wasn't very wet but if you are a three inch tall schleich person, you'd be pretty nervous...lol So, evacuation to higher ground for the schleichies. I have to go wrap their legs for the trip to the upstairs... I hope they load well. Floods suck

After a coat of white on her black spots, a cost of dark buckskin, and two coats of my desired buskin, also with the brownblack blended in to go just above her socks and the brownblack in for her mane, she shouldn't take more than 2 days. Tomorrow, I'll fix around her mane and do her dapples, shading, and eyes. Then sealer. Then she is done!!!

Good idea! Get a little alarm that makes sounds, and a horse trailer, and evacuate as soon as possible!

Stella is looking great! I need more coats around her hooves, I need to subtle her dapples, and then do shading. Then touch ups, sealing, and I'm done! Oh wait... The bridle. Buckskin with a really dark brown mane. Should I do black, dark purple, or dark blue bridle?

Has anyone noticed that Schleich models have gone really down hill??
Lots of them have defaults and the such...I mean the look nicer but wrong at the same time
I mean look at the new and old Arabian mares

Personally the old mare looks better with better confirmation and such while the new one looks wrong
The new Clydesdale looks wrong, confirmation wise mainly. Clydesdales are stockier wayyy stockier.

I totally agree! The new GV mare is nice though. The new Arab mare looks like a yearling.....but she's still my favorite.

I was at the store I buy schleich the other day and they had two places for the Clydesdale, Mustang and Appaloosa stallion. Is schleich making a new Mustang and Appaloosa?

The black rearing mustang stallion and the bay blanket appy stallion exist already...
