I have a Meijer and Rural king also. You should have seen me the first day I walked into Rural King and saw the schleich. I felt like I died and went to heaven. They had two schleich racks and one of them was just for the schleich horses.

Hey guys who likes to do duct tape crafts because I am making a schleigh carige!!!
By Retired breeder, 23rd September 2015 21:55:31
With duct tape? Wow. Tell me how?!

I had had the idea of duct tape tack, but not carriages... And sadly we only own silver duct tape and the black stuff is like $3-$4
By Retired breeder, 23rd September 2015 22:08:12
Well, if you have a B&G discount you can get some for $2 and pm me if you want to know how to make one
By Retired breeder, 23rd September 2015 23:06:39
Cool! I wish I knew how to make things out of duct tape!
By Retired breeder, 23rd September 2015 23:34:45
Pm me and I will tell all of my secrets of the duct tape
By Retired breeder, 24th September 2015 01:31:37
If I had black duct tape... I would make:
Saddles
Halters
Boots
Carriages
Harnesses
Breast collars
Girths for my old broken plastic saddles
Hinges
Maybe a trailer but I'd rather use white...
Tack boxes
Grooming totes
A hose nozzle
Maybe a black hat to go over Audrey's white one
Dog collars
Flower pots
And probably a ton more. Do you think it's worth $2-4? Probably just 2 with a JoAnn's or Michaels gift card... default smiley (lol)

Well, use acrylic paint or pastels.
Watercolors look like they'll work for shading but they don't.
Be careful making dapples- cotton swab things make giant dapple for Schleich, and they make 3D blobs, so maybe try a toothpick?
You can try watering down the acrylics, but I find just thin coats are better, except for the coat that you make black socks on- if you do watered down color all over, then the black socks will blend into that a little, but try using a sponge, too.
If you use a VERY slightly gray/white or cream/white, it'll look better than pure white. If you don't have one, you can try white with a touch of cream or gray. Cream would likely be better.
If you don't have the exact color you want, use reds, browns, oranges, yellows, blacks, and grays to make a color.
