I second that. I used to be a Schleich collector but I never had such fancy, awesome sets!

Ok so apparently you can dye yarn with watercolored. I'm thinking of designing an awesome colored rope halter, but do you think the watercolor could come off on my horses???
By Retired breeder, 11th June 2015 17:21:40
Hmm, if it is dried, it probably wont, test it on a cheap toy horse first.
By Retired breeder, 11th June 2015 17:24:07
Good idea! I'll try with light yellow yarn as I'm nearly out of white.

Two ideas... The first:

I have a jump ring on the end of one of my lead ropes. It slides nicely onto the top of the posts on playmobil fences, making it look like the horses is tied on but it take like 1/3 of a second!
By Retired breeder, 11th June 2015 17:29:46
The second:

I tested. Two bamboo skewers (or at least mine) fit snugly inside of a straw side by side. So, if I make bamboo skewer fences, I can just cut off a bit of straw to make a small ring and slide one to the top of the post and one to the bottom, therefore making a detachable, free standing fence with no ugly stands- and if you leave two unconnected, you should be able to swing them carefully to make working gates. And, if you put a bit of chain with a jump ring on one end and a clip on the other, you can tie the two swinging parts shut- very realistically! I need to try this!!!

Great idea! I will try!

By Retired breeder, 11th June 2015 18:13:54
Jo, did you ever get my pics in your forum to work?
By Retired breeder, 11th June 2015 18:57:41
No. My iPod doesn't do links even on the browser apparently default smiley :(
By Retired breeder, 11th June 2015 18:59:11
Ya know if I were rich I'd have all sorts of barns- lesson, show, racing, dressage, western, Arabian, etc. but I'm not sadly... Ahhh, if I were rich! (Like, VERY rich I'd need one big house for all of that default smiley (lol))

Noooooo! I thought we had another pack of bamboo skewers. My mom took them to the house for cleaning purposes, and I had already cut nearly all the prices for on fence length when I realized they're wood. I like bamboo because they're easier to cut and don't truly splinter. Wood, however, does. Therefor it's more dangerous to cut, and I have to sand it. I think I just wasted 4 dowels... What should I do with them?

Alright so I'd like to make a cart of some sort. Should I make a hay wagon, or a fancy Victorian carriage? Well I guess, which should I make first default smiley (lol) or a racing cart for Trident...

Also, anybody have tips on wheels? I'd like to not use bottle caps if possible...

What about using the plastic milk from a milk bottle, below the cap? If I glued 6 toothpick pieces around a bead then glued that on (painted) that might work...
By Retired breeder, 11th June 2015 20:53:31
True, maybe a buggy for trident might be the best!
By Retired breeder, 11th June 2015 21:10:11
Perhaps... Now that I think of it, Ginger really isn't suited to a carriage. Odd, because I named her mainly after the Ginger in black beauty default smiley (lol)

But I would really like to make a hay wagon, so I can use that fine harness I made for her...
