Customizing tips-

Always shake your acrylics paints before using, especially if they are old. Acrylic paints are water-based, and will separate after long periods of time.

Yes, if you want to shade like that, pastels are the way to go.

Use a glossy finish or a clear nail polish to shine hooves and eyes.

Apparently you can use hot and cold water to bend heads, legs, and tails, but I haven't tried yet. I hope to, though.

That would be cool, penguin.! My grandfather loves trains so we have a lot of those. I even used some in my science fair project.

I might do a Schleich photoshoot today but I'd like it to dry up a bit first. It drizzled a little.

Same here. I am going to send a reccomendation letter to schleich about how their quality has dropped, plus a few things that I think might be cool if they mad, such as actually working starting gates! How do you prevent a custom horse from feeling like sandpaper? Mine always come out with this oily, sandpapery texture that I can't stand...
To me the quality isn't dropping. This year's horses and accessories are amazingly done. Most of the horses from 2006-1900's aren't the greatest. What's dropping in quality?

Their quality has NOT dropped. Take a look at the old horses. They having dropped. Just like breyer quality hasn't dropped. Just because it's newer doesn't mean the quality dropped people!

Just use mod podge for the customs pengy. I can't stand the feel of them either, but mod podge makes it much better. It's a little weird but like 10x better default smiley (lol)

Yeah starting gates would be cool... And $1,00...

I think they should make carriages with harnesses (a one horse carriage, and a carriage that comes with two harnesses, but you could buy more, to have 4,6 or even 8!)

And an XC set! With like a rider, horse, and tack

And XC jumps like log piles, stone walls, tires, etc.

And an Arabian costume set. That'd be cool.

And MORE PEOPLE. Some that lead horses, some feeding treats or grain, some riding, some tacking, some sitting, just MORE!

An maybe a new thoroughbred, a Morgan, and a new Clydesdale mare, and a new QH too.

They should also make scenes! Like there's a green base that you can put plants and trees and ponds on! (sold separately, of course default smiley (lol))
By Retired breeder, 6th June 2015 21:43:05
Yes!!!^^^^All of that! I really want more people and XC jumps!!!
By Retired breeder, 6th June 2015 21:43:48
I use Modge Podge for my customs too.
The do need more people.
western riders
western tack
they did have a xc set. I will find an images.
Round pen?
and maybe some thing like a camping set?

Highly doubtful that there will be a schleich model of him. How many of famous horses schleich models are there? There are none.

Yeah I knowdefault smiley :( I just was thinking it would be cool though if Schleich made those. I'd like to see another Schleich TB model. The only one they made is retired and I can't afford it.default smiley (lol)
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2015 01:52:10
Well, look at the icelandic stallion, shire stallion, and all of the defects on my newest horses. Western tack with a young girl or boy would be amazing! Ya, the TB is really expensive, wish they would make one other then the two they have already...

American pharaoh is a legend! It has been 37 years since the last triple crown win, he won by seven strides! I also am not usually a fan of racing(unless it comes down to the triple crown) but I don'like it because of how cruel they are to 2-3 year old's. They smack them and usually(there are some alternitives) make them run on hard ground that cracks there legs, and off they are to the slaughter house. Many of them are drugged and bled to.
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2015 02:29:59
I'm not a racing girl. I know nothing about AP except he won some stuff. And last year California Chrome won something. I only know that because of trivia sprints at swim practice default smiley xd I don't think Schleich will make models of horses- they make other figurines too!
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2015 02:32:49
They should also make:

A hot walker

More barns

Cats/dogs that are the proper size. I kid you not, I use puppies as large dogs default smiley xd

Also they should make different eventing sets, eg. XC, barrel racing, trail, dressage, etc. and all would come with a tack set, a person, and one accessory set (jumps, barrels, poles, letters, etc.)
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2015 02:39:26
Yeah but the XC set was a gift set. I don't think you could take it apart without sawing or such
By Retired breeder, 7th June 2015 02:40:06
Have any of y'all seen any things by shoestringstables? She's amazing!
Penguin that's exactly why I don't like horse racing!
