Anybody have any ideas for a trailer door? I have one, but looking for better ones
By Retired breeder, 12th February 2015 18:38:24
Not really, just cut 3 sides out of the box to make it attached and move!
By Retired breeder, 12th February 2015 19:19:49
Oh. I already cut it. I made the back angled and the whole thing is only a little over half the box. My idea:

Cut a separate door, then use hot glue the attach two little prices of ribbon, yarn, etc. to the bottom. Then line it up to the bottom of the box, glue the other ends of the ribbon, and viola! Hinges! Then glue a loop of ribbon to each side of the door, and two straw bits to the outside of the box. The put the loops around the straws (or beads or whatever) and they will hold the door closed! And if you have a rider with an arm up, just stick it under the loop and pull to have them open it!

I hope that made some sense
By Retired breeder, 12th February 2015 19:41:09
Ya, it did! Great idea!
By Retired breeder, 12th February 2015 21:07:02
I've done it before, I made a Popsicle stick trailer for slightly bigger horses. One straw broke off but... Yeah.

I don't think I've posted this yet: this summer I made a western bridle with just a ribbon with a jump ring at the ends, then tied pieces of fishing line to the jump rings to connect them- one goes over the nose, the other goes under the chin or in the mouth line. It would be best to have 3, nose, chin, and mouth, but I only did 2. But you can't see the fishing line! It's so cute! I made a saddle to match, and I used lizbob97's breast collar tutorial! I don't like lizbob97's videos much, because she takes like 10 minutes to do something simple, but really the breast collar is simple and great! (At least I think it was lizbob97... If not, the video has a picture of the Knabstrupper mare and like green ribbon it think

That's really cool!
By Retired breeder, 12th February 2015 22:05:00
Ya! I should try that! for some reason, before I customize a horse, I always think it will turn out great, not!

default smiley (lol) I know, I once got myself inspired to draw a squirrel (no kidding!) and thought "since I am inspired, and have the picture in my head of what it will look like, I will be able to do it!" It was horrid. default smiley xd

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make a harness and/or cart?
By Retired breeder, 12th February 2015 23:21:13
To make a harness, make a black ribbon neck loop with a clip, attach two long parts and the one down the middle, then attach six smaller parts, like a snowflake. The middle should be the middle ribbon, and three end should attach to each side ribbon. The snowflake should be on the horses flanks. Then put one ribbon across all three long ribbons, with extra, and make the extra into a girth thing right behind the front legs, add a clip. Cut the middle ribbon off just behind the center of the snowflake. Then the the side ribbons, and connect them around the rear going under the tail with a clip. That's how I did it. Easier than I wrote it

Yes. It's much better than the other one, the light is way better plus me & my sis split stables so I have less stuff.

Haha! Ya, tomorrow is pre valentines!
I'm not getting that Tennessee walker stallion for a while yet thanks to the fact that I'm not going to my grandmas tomorrow. Instead I get to stay home and be a personal servent.
