Yay! I can't wait to find out who is retiring! Mainly so I can try to make sure I have them before they do!

Betrayal!default smiley (li)

You guys know how Orscheln's Farm and Home quit selling Schleich figurines earlier this year? Well if you didn't know or didn't remember, they did. This is where i discovered Schleich a few years back, and was the only local place i could find them (since Walmart no longer has them). Well, that was bad enough. Then, today, i went into Orscheln's for the first time in a little while, and i found they were selling very similar animal figurines of a Schleich competitor! That competitor is Breyer! I was aware Breyer had a few animal figurines (animals other than horses i mean) but i wasn't aware they had an entire animal line, including wildlife, cows (farmlife), and pets such as cats and dogs. I admit, i was slightly tempted to buy some, after all, i'm an animal lover and as such also love little animal figurines. I didn't buy any. But still, i'm disappointed that they discontinue Schleich only to bring in a different brand! Ugh!

Now, truth be told, i hold nothing against Breyer (or Breyer collectors) and like i said, i was even tempted to buy some. I just WISH they still had SCHLEICH, cause that's where my heart (and rather large collection) is! Especially since I could find them locally at Orscheln's. I can't afford to collect both, sadly.

So, like i said, Betrayal!

These Breyer animal figurines, with some horses mixed in, were not in boxes, and actually cost about the same as the Schleich figurines. I didn't know these existed either lol.

I honestly just don’t like schleich, I don’t have anything against them! I just think some horses look weird, and way too skinny, but to each their own! I collect Breyer horses, I just like their look better.default smiley :)
