Who pronounces schleich shleek and who pronounces it shleysh?

Actually neither of those pronunciations are correct. It's a German word. It should be pronounced like sh-lie-ch (the end kind is kind of like a hissing sound, a soft ch). However it's not easy for everyone to pronounce so lots of people just say it like shleek, shlik, shleysh, shley or schlike. Which is fine, of course. (:

Yes, I began with an absent ch but then my dad told me. Why do dads know everything????
By Retired breeder, 4th June 2016 01:43:20
@skeeter, that's how I do it

Ya, so, what is everybody's pet peeve when you have schleich like when you craft or people come to your house, etc.
By Retired breeder, 4th June 2016 02:00:16
When my mom says, "Don't you have enough plastic horses?!"
By Retired breeder, 4th June 2016 03:11:29
Ugh, I hate when my family says that! My mom is like when I was a little girl we only had a few toys we played with! Ugh!!!!! I hate when scissors don't cut, but instead the felt bends in a weird way to fit in between the blades! I have ADHD, I cannot handle this!
I hate when people come to my house and they sort of laugh and look at all the teddies and Schleich in a weird way.
Or when I was younger it used to bug me sooooo much when I'd play Schleich with a friend and they'd have the wrong personality for the horse or animal default smiley xd I was like, 'um.. she doesn't act that way.. she's really kind and shy...' lol

I hate it when my little cousins come over. They tell on me if I don't get out my horses, and they throw them across the room and in to the walls! And then say I did it! The sad thing is they are the ages of 8,7,5!
By Retired breeder, 4th June 2016 11:44:09
Have you told your mom about this? If she is so concerned about you ruining your toy horses (that's why she doesn't let you paint them, right?) that's likely to actually BREAK them, which is worse than recoloring them.
By Retired breeder, 4th June 2016 11:56:57
@bonnie when I was little and I would play with my Breyers with my sister I would always do that default smiley xd Now that I'm a bit more mature I'm just like whatever. Thankfully I have no annoying smaller peoples in my life right now, but there is my sister's cat. For some reason under normal circumstances, she doesn't like to go onto shelves. But put some model horses up there and shelves instantly become a wonderful kitty playground! *facepalm*

Jo, she won't believe me but she is just mad because it ruins the walls.

Too bad you don't have any *junk horses*......ones that are so beat up that when your cousins come over they can play with them instead of your good ones. Also...maybe if you had those and try your hand at repainting them your Mom might let you repaint your better looking horses?

Wow. If they were my cousins, I would slap them. (No, only joking default smiley xd )
I'd probably lock them in another room and hide the key. Or video them secretly on your phone then show your Mum.

I once had a beautiful gypsy vanner schleich and my brother chewed it's leg off (he was very young default smiley xd). I got so mad!
By Retired breeder, 4th June 2016 15:18:26
@Bonnie So true! I am like, no thoroughbreds are not so calm to can do flips over their head(Although some are, but the steriotype of racers), the horse is supposed to be spooking right now, stop, I sayed spooking! Not Sleeping!

My cousin, wait which one, there are 14... Anyways... One of them bit a wing of a Schleich Dragon! I have no clue how he did it!
By Retired breeder, 4th June 2016 16:54:54
Fortunately all of my cousins never visit so I'm good...lol

So, I have looked on this site before and recovered it. Should I get a fly sheet and blanket Vash??? And should I buy the 56 dollar round pen to exercise her in?

Alright then, Harper. Here's two options.
"Lose" your Schleich. (Somehow they made it to the back corner of your unfinished attic default smiley ;))
Or, a much better and more reliable one, if your mom agrees to it:
Have your mom be in the room while you are playing with them. There'll most likely be one of two outcomes: either the cousins won't throw the horses, because she would know that they did it, or they WOULD throw the horses, and, well, she'd know that they did it, and not you.
