The first horse I ever rode was my mum's Huge grey horse called Polly. I was 2 years old at the time. She was so big and I was so small that when I started to trot I literally bounced out of the saddle

My mom's horse, a mare named Annie. We lost her four years ago due to a freak accident with a hay rack during feeding time. She kicked out in excitement and got her hoof stuck in the hay rack.
 Now, she is running free happily in Horse Heaven. |

I rode a horse called Raven. She was sweet.

Duke. First horse I ever rode was Duke. A big, gentle Percheron/Standarbred cross with the mildest personality in the world. He'd walk up to the paddock fence to let me hop on and wander around and around the paddock with me on his back, please to make a child happy until Dad would inevitably come out and help me down. I do miss that horse. If you ever get the chance to ride a draft, take it, it's like sitting on ocean waves, they're so gentle.

He's in horsie heaven now, he passed away from old age, but he taught me to ride and I've been riding and training ever since.

Her name was Roxy, I believe. This was seventeen years ago. I really miss her--she'd be in mid to late 20s right now I bet.
