I'm disappointed that they didn't give us at least a two or three days more for this event. I'm so so close to finishing Feliz Navidad, but I most likely won't as the event ends at 10 AM, and my meter is depleted. I've logged on every single day, and I've spent nearly 180 passes trying to finish on time, not willing to spend any more because even then I won't have enough to make it to the end. Kinda disappointed that I put in all that effort for nothing

its not like the usual event where if you do everything right as soon as the event starts you can get to the prize. this one you absolutely cannot avoid spending passes. I spent 450 just to get feliz, and i logged in every day and evening and made sure all possible energy was spent and took the cheapest paths. Even got the elf fully upgraded.

yep was logging on everyday collecting passes from daily objectives and my divine horses, was on last room of star anise and had to spend a lot :')
but have gotten good prizes throughout like titans challenege
i never usually spend this much passes but i wasnt about to quit at the final hurdle!!

I'm fairly certain it'd only take 140 hours if your wrapping power is at 1. If it's fully upgraded to 4 it'll take 30 hours or so to do it.

So happy with this event. I spent zero passes and still managed to get Feliz Navidad with enough days left to pick up other nifty items. I even let the meter fill up multiple times due to inactivity so it felt really forgiving. Big thanks to Nalu for providing us with the helpful upgrading-guide!

I've managed to pick up 3x Challenges, 3x GAs, 3x Morhpeus' Arms and 2x HoPs along with smaller items

The only event I allowed myself to spend passes on this year (2025). I'm walking away with Feliz, Hen, and Morchella. I'm very pleased and while I spent more than I really would have liked to, I enjoyed it!

If you didn't get feliz for free then either you missed tapes, upgraded the wrong stuff/in the wrong order or you let your moves meter fill too many times. Remember that there were (multiple) tapes that you could only get from the advent calendar if you logged in on the day they were offered. Otherwise, you'd just get a consolation prize. And there was one in secret santa. If you missed any of them, you wouldn't have been able to upgrade fully.

I checked my pass history on UK. I didn't spend a single pass on this event. I started 12hrs late and I missed the secret santa tape. But I still got feliz with around 24hrs to spare, completely for free. And the best part is that I went through the doors with prizes I like, meaning that I didn't take the fastest route.

The event divine was free. If you decided to hop into a different divine portal before you got your upgrades, then that's on you. Your strategy was wrong and you prioritized getting fragments for a different divine over getting your upgrades done ASAP. You sabotaged your own chance to get feliz.

Any additional divine would've costed passes. It's not like Howrse is going to casually hand out a bunch of free divines with unlimited perks... they're a business and they need money too. The offer that they gave us for Christmas was the possibility of getting multiple extra divines for cheap. Our part was to save up or pay up to get them if we were interested. Or ignore them if we were not interested. That's a reasonable deal. Or rather, it HAD to be a near miss for free players or players wouldn't bother because they won't get anywhere near those divines without spending fortunes and Howrse won't make any money because of it. It's not like people have tons of money to waste after having black friday, cyber Monday and Christmas in the same month.

But the event divine was free and if you didn't get him then it's because of something you did wrong. And if I recall correctly, Nalu posted a guide on page 1 to help you get the divine for free... that guide matches what I did and I got feliz for free, so you should've gotten him for free too if you followed it.

Do better next time. It may be a few years before this comes around as a Christmas event again, but it'll definitely come around in the middle of the year. Use that to test your strategy so you'll get the free divine next time it's offered... if the final prize is a divine. It could always be something else.

Hey, so while you make great points here, it gives you no right to be as demeaning as you are. People are allowed to be a little disappointed that they didn't get the final prize. Believe it or not, this is just a game. People have real lives and jobs outside of this and Howrse is very notorious about being very strict on their time limits to get the rewards. They leave little room for error and that's purely to get you to spend passes and money on the game. So maybe you should lead with a little more grace next time when it comes to people expressing frustration towards a game that has shown time and time again that it is in the business of making money and will do anything to do so.

This is an awful way to talk to your community and fellow players. There’s children that play this game. It’s one thing to be happy about your own progress, but to boast and then to put others down and scold them for not doing as well as you... that’s totally unnecessary and just plain mean. To put in in your own words, “do better next time”

Absolutely over the moon with my haul. I did spend passes early to get Feliz and all upgrades right before the divine gates opened and I’m so glad I did. I had a plan and conquered. I finished Feliz, Love, and Pixel and so was able to go back and cherry pick items since I went for the fastest route the first time through.

This event more than made up for my disappointment with Black Friday. The divines were clearly laid out and attainable to some degree. Did I want/ need these specific divines? Nah, but I got to fill up that meter and that's joy enough frankly.

I did have questions on how the prizes and hit points and energy were weighted. A few required equal amounts but had options of a Philotes’ Stroke or a Titan’s Challenge which seemed a bit weird. Like sure, the doors have to get harder but make the prizes more even if you’re asking the same.

Hey is anyone aware of how much energy you need to spend in star anise’s workshop with the 4 points per click upgrade? I’m debating if I should spend some passes.

Sure people may voice their disappointment. I get it. But there's a literal guide on the first page telling you how to guarantee getting the divine for free. You can lead a horse to water...

Happy with what I got though, this event was really nice

I personally have had a great time playing this event!! Yes, I’ve spent a fair amount of passes but it’s been very worth it!! I’ve got 4 new divines - Star Anise, Hen, Morchella & the lovey… (I had 400+ fragments saved for both Hen & Morchella, so that made getting them that much easier)
I already had Feliz cute self from 2024.
I’ve gotten tons of great BM items too!! Overall I’m super happy with my Christmas haul

Ended up spending 540 passes to get Feliz but totally worth it. Really pleased with this event, for the first time in a while!

I think you shouldn't need to do specific steps to get the divine, i think it should be close any way you play, to encourage the pass buying yes. To be fair this is an opinion, I know not may people have experience with opinions on here because they're banned for the most part in many official forums. Also if howrse is struggling for money, fix the ad banner. They get paid to display ads right? So why aren't they?

Im happy i got feliz, even with spending passes but they were free passes saved up form the daily's.

I do agree some of the doors were weird, wildly differently valued items costing the same. Bagged me some goodies from it so not really a complaint.

I don't agree.
In some events, sure, such as cards or Piñatas, why not? The route you have to follow is just one, and you go from there.
However, some events are strategy games and thus require a little more finesse. Play the game according to a valid strategy, and you'll get the prize for free; don't, and pay some passes to get to the end. That's it.

Notably, the stagecoach event required much more strategy than the dig event (this one), this is a happy medium.
