The Crazy Friday sales!

HellOw everyone!

The Crazy Friday sales will return soon!

There are three different types of Sales:

Direct sales: Different horses will appear throughout the day, but only one of each will be available. The fastest wins the sale! Limited to one purchase every twelve hours.

Auctions: Place the highest bid in Equus to win the divine horse of your dreams! Limited to one purchase every twelve hours.

Reserved sales: Every eight hours, check out a new batch of horses in the Reserved sales tab. These horses will be available to you during this time only, with a limit of one purchase per horse, but you will have the possibility to buy one of each horse offered.

All Crazy Friday sales will be accessible from a separate dedicated hub to prevent any confusion with other sales happening at the same time.

Saffron fragments

With every purchase made during Crazy Friday, you'll earn points that will help fill up a loyalty meter. Reach different levels to get Saffron Fragments.

The sales will start on 2025-11-21 09:00 and will end on 2025-11-24 09:00.

This time matches the time zone chosen on your account.

⚠️ The full program of the sales will be shared when the sales begin.

Good luck,
The Howrse Team

Anybody know what Cumin was in the sales? And has a Clove gone through yet?

Wow.

I like the Fire & Stellar series and only have three of each. Maybe I can get more? Oh, nope, I have both Stellars on offer and one of the Fires on offer, so I have to try for direct sales which won't happen for Flame.

I also want to finish my Water and Rainbow Collections. Maybe I can make progress? Oh, nope, not even on offer.

Guess I don't need all those passes I've been saving up.

Sorry, missed the Cumin, didn’t even see the price.

A Clove has gone through, was like the second one, and I also didn’t even get to see the price.

Where does the "buy" button appear? Is it under the price column, or in a third column left of the "discount"?

The price button IS the buy button. If you see a yellow pass and a number from 700-3000, that’s what you click.

Just missed the Kigurumi in directs, system took the passes, then returned them back into my account, saying the other player was faster - I guess there is a system for accounting the split second when users press buy button at the same time.

Price was 2,192 passes.

I’d estimate near Seth, which went for 2,369 in directs.

Hi i would like to point out that the flash sales (DIRECT SALES) are not fair to the people living in areas that have slow internet as they don't even get to see the horse appear and it is already sold.

This is extremely disappointing and honestly not very well thought out at all.

I miss the days where direct sales were for individual players. Like they would be there and stay there for hours on end. Tons of time to pick and choose and even get more passes before grabbing them. Now.. its a big hot mess.

That's never been a thing with the directs, only the reserves that they started doing. We do have reserves for this version of the sales as well, but they are different to the direct and auction divines.

@wildmage
I suppose the meter is just a bonus. Not a good one considering just how much you need to spend to get the last 700 fragments. But a bonus nonetheless. 30k is insane irrespective of how you look at it. But I suppose it's possible now with reserveds too.

@Nalu93
When I said that it isn't insane, I was comparing the price to the 30k, 50k and 100k price tags... 14.4k is nothing compared to that default smiley (lol) I pointed out that it's on par with jade to emphasize that it is still within the price range for Howrse, even though it is at the high end. But it's still expensive considering that higher tier pass droppers (like ones that drop 80p) are priced towards 8k. Or maybe 10k at the most, but that's expensive. Saffron doesn't compare to the King at all. The King can drop 200p in one drop if you're lucky (I'm ignoring the 1k drop)... he has no competition. But as you said, Saffron is priced like that because Howrse expects us to get fragments from participating in the sale. It is the black friday sale, so they also probably expect us to cough up money to buy stuff hence ridiculous meter price... although they did move their sale to before payday-

@Argorok
If you find value in the divines, take them. I'm looking at the TCs because I don't think I'm going to win anything from directs and I don't really see anything of interest in reserveds. I personally prefer filling the divine meter a bit for a divine that I'll try for again to buying a few divines that won't fill the loyalty meter enough to reach the next fragment milestone. I may buy a few auction chimeras or whatever similar series, but I don't have much equus and I won't be adding much to the meter. I'll wait until monday before coughing up for TCs in case I do get something decent, but I'm not going to buy whatever Howrse chucks in reserveds just to add to the meter when I have no interest in it. The reserveds lineup is horrid and I don't waste passes on divines just because they're there... my passes go towards divines I'm interested in, which is mainly Saffron in this case.

Totally.

I was just despairing because for those who don't find any value in the roster, Saffron is insanely priced. default smiley ;)

I doubt I'll be spending much as I have most of the divines that give things I want and I'm not too fussed about the collections and trophies. At the moment there are no auction sales available at all and the directs aren't worth my while trying to go for as I'm always too slow and someone else snaps it up before I've seen it. The reserved sales at the moment are all horses I already have too. I'm not a fan of a scramble of a bun fight to get things as slower hands, brain or internet connection will always lose out. I do like the reserved sales, as I can take my time to think about whether I want to buy, can I afford it and I know it will be there for a while while decide.

Why are the auctions such long time frames this year, holy cow, 40 minutes to bid on a horse... That price is going to absolutely skyrocket before it even gets close.

My issue with the reserves in particular are the lack of prices. With directs, players will catch the price and share it, so you can get a very good idea of how much it will cost you. With reserves, you've just got to hope you can afford it when it eventually pops up. Say I have 5000 passes and I want the two spices, that would likely be enough based on direct prices and factoring in the increased price, but what if I wanted to pick up the pet in this round for the trophy? Would buying it prevent me from buying the spices later on? The planner is great, but it would be a lot better if it included the prices for both directs and reserves.

Agreed, I wish they were a little bit more upfront about cost. Even if they just give a range, and not the precise price. So many people save up and plan for this for months, but with as little in fo as there is it can be really hard to plan ahead.

Just accidentally bought a Hippidion in Directs default smiley :s
Tried for TC droppers several times now, and my internet never came CLOSE to registering the clicks, so I figured I'd click on another divine just for the lolz. Actually got it, whoops.

So are direct sales slightly cheaper than reserved? I'm trying to stretch my passes to buy 2-3 spices. Should I focus on the directs?

Directs are usually cheaper, but we won't know until the Reserved sales actually show the prices...

I agree with the reserveds price.

I think the directs should also show the price next to the horse after it was sold, just not as a clickable button. So like "sold for x". Because the price didn't even pop up for me on the one that I wanted (it just said sold). And on the one that it showed, I clicked so quickly that I didn't see it, just for the price to disappear immediately while the game took a few seconds to decide that I didn't win the divine. Had to run here to check what it actually costed even after I tried to buy it default smiley (lol)

That said, I hate that I must make the decision to buy the divine before even knowing if it costs more than what I'm willing to spend on it in directs. Or at least for it's first appearance. They should release the list of divines with their pass prices on the day before for both directs and reserveds.

Or at least release the cost list and actual divine list the day of the sales. We should get to know without having to search the program what all is being offered per year. And then an added bonus of at least a price range for each divine so people can be prepared and if needed buy the right pass pack.

I'm also still not a fan of how long the bidding war can go on, bids doubled in the 'last 30 seconds'. I feel like there should be a limit on how many times the timer can reset.

Thanks Nalu. And what is the "discount" tag referring to? Is that the discount compared to what Howrse would have charged in reserved sales? I get we can't make an exact comparison though.
