[Event] Cards: 20 years

Cards: 20 years

In just 10 days, Howrse will be 20 years old! It almost feels surreal to say it out loud.

Enjoy a new set of cards showcasing the evolution of the game and some community favorite elements with the Cards event!

This event will end on 2025-09-15 14:00.

Fireworks will be available until 2025-09-16 14:00.

Puzzle cards - Will grant you a prize once the puzzle is complete.

Joker cards - Will help you get the card of your choice amongst those from the same level.

If you get a duplicate card, you can exchange it for a new one of the same rarity, once daily.

How to get cards

There are different ways to get cards:

With a daily connection (2 cards a day), with a bonus if you log in 5 days straight (1 Gold or Diamond card).

When taking one of your horses for a ride (1 card a day).

From winning a competition with your horses (1 card a day).

In the Flash Sales.

By spending Equus to trade your duplicate cards (1 time a day).

With Passes.

Every time you purchase a card during the Flash Sales, you earn points. When you have enough points, you unlock a private sale for a Joker card!

Jackpot

This special divine was created for the game’s 20th anniversary.

You can get fragments for this divine in the Tyche’s Crown, by playing the Cards event and by completing your Daily Objectives.

I for one am really loving the prizes on offer, and the cards themselves. What a great way to celebrate 20 years! default smiley <:o)

His perk doesn't stack, so getting two would just be a waste as far as I know.
thanks didn't realize that. I bet people spending a LOT on him are not going to realize that it doesn't stack. they are going to assume they'll be able to get 4 times the passes on 9/8

Eolus' Wind - does anyone remember what this did? I remember it because I've been on the site almost sixteen years but I can't remember for the life of me what it does.

I decided to do a google search, and yes I can confirm it was a bonus.
This is the info about it (From Howrse Wiki):

With Eolus' Wind, your horse's gallop, jumping and trot will soar!

Bonus you get from it:

Gallop: +9

Trot: +9

Showjumping: +9

Dressage: +4

Cost: 5 diamonds

It's a puzzle card, not the item

Anyone else having issues with the direct card sales? Multiple times at the end of the countdown the card never appears for sale, I know they are often snatched up extremely quickly. However they still typically show up as clickable. Currently the countdown ends and then instead of the card being available it immediately starts the countdown for the next card.

It is possible that if your internet is slower that they won't show up, I've had that happen before on previous cards, or the crazy Friday flash sale.

people have the cursor on the spot and are clicking the spot as it pops up. it will get easier as we get farther into the event.

I find it funny how there's a picture of 4 cards for what we get on day 5, even though we only get 3 cards. Yes, I understand that they want to show that you can get a gold OR platinum card, but still. Even though cards is a very generous event, I always feel like it goes slowly. I'm always a little disappointed that I can only earn 2 extra cards each day from completing tasks. It feels stingy even though it isn't.

Does anyone know if their will be any other ways to get fireworks besides cards, crowns, and objectives? At least it seemed with Embers there was something more to it, or maybe it was just more fragments.

I think they give you so few cards each day to make you buy them via sales. Of course, that doesn't always work. Now is my time when I can play Howrse for the day - zero auctions and 10 minutes until the next direct sale.

I exchanged a silver card today and I have really NO clue if I got anything back. Is there a way to check that?

All I had, and still have, in my hand of cards is the 2 bronze and 1 silver joker I already had yesterday.

If the exchanged card is going to it's place in the puzzle immediately, I must say I find that very confusing, because you can't *see* it happening when it's on a lower part of the page.

I've read this on the Howrse Discord too indeed. You can have more than 1 but only 1 gives passes, if I understood correctly.

I was thinking "why would you ever buy one in Flash sales with the no duplicate rule" but maybe they want to just drop 19 mil and tap out for the rest of the event, who knows. default smiley xd

Just bought a silver in direct sales—I wasn't actually expecting to win it! Had I known I would actually get it, I would have waited for a gold or platinum. I won't do auctions... the price goes too high, but hopefully I can snatch a couple gold or platinum cards in the directs plus some silver to get the gold joker. The platinum joker requires way too many points when you can only do each type of sale every other day! You would need to buy a gold card almost every day!

It made sense to fill the bar for a diamond joker when the diamond prize was a divine, but now I cannot justify the cost. Staffs are nice, but not worth millions of equus.
