The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

FQ, You seem to like these odd little goals, but..if you reach one..you gotta have another! *chuckles*

There were 2 foundies and one more 1st gen in the PS as well, but they were even worse off then the one I linked. Poor souls. There seems to be enough Arab NiBs that people can afford to be picky with them.

Welp..good luck with all your comps! Got mine in for the day.

I really need fillers, Nutty's comps just aren't running! When they do, I think he's got a bad case of seconditis, mostly 5ths and 4ths, not too many 3rds. Going to see what I can do, I really want this fella to work out before he's too old for the breeding shed!!default smiley (7)
Annawe I just can't help myself lol. I have to make my game more interesting otherwise I get distracted by other things and then just wonder away. I mean if we look at odd little goals just think of the one we are all after.....greenstar NIBs lol. *shrugs* Besides equus and number of horses are all a big part of rankings so I'm hoping that will boost me way up default smiley :p

FQ, you must be in or close to my time zone. Right now it is 5:00 here, and nobody is on, because it is nearly 10:00 GMT time. I'm sick of getting on when everyone is asleep! default smiley (li) Anyway........ Do you have any PSH fillers? I need some!default smiley ;)
By Retired breeder, 3rd February 2010 21:59:32
It's kinda a struggle with donkeys for me, I don't like buying new ones, because sometimes you overlook a teeny tiny detail, and you get a bad one.

Wow that's a lot of letters and numbers....default smiley (lol)default smiley xd
I have a few horses that could work as fillers only if your PSHs are in open breed comps lol, no PSHs in my herd unfortunatley.

Donkeys I think would be tough lol, and not an attractive bunch default smiley :p

For these top listed NIB GPs to be submitted, does the number have to be before games, or can it be after games?

I got two PSH foundies, one was real cheap...the other wasn't really, but she has a p stone so she was kinda worth it. I'll train them up just enough to help you out, Pintar...or maybe to just bold the main stats.

I used a really nice foal game guide. One of my NIB gen 2 friesian unis was finally born! I hope Rowen's unis give me a filly! I'm hoping I am training my foundie mare and my little stallion right. -worries lots-

Eachan - Stally (Gen2)

Hailey - Foundie Mare

And and whoot! Adrian has 12 wins now!
Go Adrian! *does a pom pom dance*

I'm trying to BLUP Amymone and Automedon to breed them together. Amy just needs to finish rides but Auto needs to win 9 more comps. It'll be interesting to see how the foal turns out because Auto is 351.20 but Amy is only 350.34. default smiley :d

By Retired breeder, 4th February 2010 13:21:56
Great news for everyone -- congratulations all!!

Just plodding along here....rampant seconditis but persevering....the NIB barn was neglected yesterday...just couldn't face it after work default smiley (lol) -- way too much thinking required!

I've got about a zillion comps waiting to run....*twiddles fingers*...could be an all-day job by the looks of things...
By Retired breeder, 4th February 2010 16:46:30
Seconditis...I have a very bad case! I'm not totally dedicated to BLUPing all of my horses though, and since I mostly just breed within my own barn I guess it's not too big of an issue. I will say that I'm still trying with my top stallion right now--he broke 100 in galloping today, which is the first time I've ever done that on any of my horses so I'm fairly excited! As soon as I can find an NIB mare to buy I'll start breeding foals by him which is very exciting.

Eagerly anticipating my two mares to at least get into positive BLUP so I can start breeding them too...
