It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

Curious about NIB horses? Want to know what a NIB horse is? You've come to the right place!

What is this topic for? NIB enthusiasts to find each other and help one another progress in their respective games.
Otherwise, you may use this topic to help others learn about NIBs, share your experience, and find friends that breed NIBs default smiley :)

Please do not use this topic for advertising horses for sale.

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

I'm on that list under "PSH breeders". No wins for the foundies sadly. I don't think they ran at all. *Shakes head*default smiley :(
I am looking for a good NIB Appaloosa training schedule. Could you PM me with one?

Thanks, Storm

I have done nothing with my Morgans today except reorganise most of them into one tab. This is a really, really slow week. Waiting on aging points to age pass horses.... waiting on passes to stick good BMs on youngsters.

And I have found that I have 142 Morgans that need to be trained, not including the three that I plan on working on in the next week or so. I also still have to weed out the 1st gens and find out what I'm doing with them. I have proof of lineage, but I might attempt to get some of their parents, which will probably cost a lot of e and passes and now I'm back to waiting on passes... Again.

*stares longingly at empty pockets*

I don't know a good one for Appies. Sorry!

Ugh..I am ending up putting all my babies in my own EC because all the others don't have rabbits. The lesson gain isn't too bad either.

However, this does mean that I am on the search for greenstars so I can balance out the skills.

Eeeking out wins, one day at a time!

Good luck in all your comps!
By Retired breeder, 2nd February 2010 23:41:32
Yes...I've made my last pass purchase for a while...I have to make them stretch out and I've got some young ones that I'd like to kit out properly..to make it all worthwhile. *sigh* The horses I bought for pass horses are still a long way off -- I refuse to pay gejillions of equus for a pass horse so I buy them younger.....

I use essentially the same program for all the breeds I work with....seems to work -- well, my present NIB comp difficulties notwithstanding....default smiley :o

Did my usual flurry of entries to keep things ticking over...at work all day tomorrow and usually too knackered to bother with much afterward...

Hope all is well with everyone.....

default smiley :-))

default smiley :o Sara is wayyyy low in the NIB popularity!!! She's a Connemara.

She gave birth to a cherry bay Marwari, whom I've named Leila. I see Marwari in the list, and it's way higher in popularity....

Leila is better than her mom! Now that is just FRIGHTENING! default smiley xd
Hello all finished off a 1G two days ago but training has slowed down a bit here due to too much work and homework. Hopefully as I get more in the groove of things my babies will get more attention.
*Starts another pot of coffee**

How are things in the NIB barns?

Got another mare and a stud into my 100s barn in the last 2 days default smiley :-))

Now I am trying to get the last couple of wins for some of my horses, Beauty only needs one more and she can get covered by my boy Torka default smiley ^)

Saw a few of your horses in the comps, entered Blazing Glory in with a few of them hoping she would help you out. She has low health so she is a good filler right now default smiley :)

Wow Forest, I've yet to 100 BLUP a horse. I really need some aging points and some help.default smiley :(
It is all luck, care and TLC for some of my horses. I have bought so many that have wins and bonuses on them that it isn't even funny. Most just need the time put into them and they would be done but I can only spread my attention so far default smiley xd lol

One of out of the set of twins from Lil Miracle 351.2 Was sorta hoping for higher GP but they are still nice. Hoping the GP will be 357.11 after games. Taking a mini break until spring so will not know until then. It will be a while before she has another foal. Does anyone have a 351.2 male for the the 3th covering? Got someone lined up for the second.

I have several Friesians I am currently trying to sell. The prices are fairly flexible so if anyone wants to send me a pm. All are NIB but fairly far along generation wise. One of them is a full brother to my 364.77 GP mare Something With Fire and I also also selling their dam.

Getting the horses to 100 BLUP can be a headache >.<

Mmm..going through the PS right now.

There is a Arab NiB in there for 1000e. Still young, but 0 IB, so would probably need some work.

Here is the link if anyone is interested.

I have very few problems BLUPing my Paints but other breeds tend to give me a headache... Then again, the first couple Paints I BLUPed gave me a headache, too, so it's all about figuring out what works for you.

I'd have more finished but I lack passes to get Morph arms. That's all I'd need, really.

Best of luck in comps for all today! Managed a few wins myself this morning. =)
*sneaks in*

Auctions are driving me insane. Trying to get a few more foundies, but.... they got away! And the other three I want end in the middle of the night. *grumbles about having to take little brother to school tomorrow morning*

Picked up a couple of okay ones from the private sales though. But I am sorely tempted by a 5th element one though. Really, really sorely tempted, but she's 20k and... I don't have that much equus to spare. I need a way to make more equus. Period. Droppings are not enough!

*sneaks out*

bluetempest lovely little foal default smiley :)

Annawe I would normally buy a horse like that but I would fret about loosing the parents and the fact that the GP is lower than most of the foundations I have, poor lil' fella.

tritty lovely foals you got, good luck with them default smiley (y)

Soul good job on the wins default smiley :), keep it up default smiley (lol)

Jeteska good job on your wins also and wish you luck on future comps default smiley (b)

We missed you Starting, glad you are feeling better

riverdoe I am absolutely proud of myself. No auctions for over a week, though I have been buying tons of 500e horses from the PS as a part of a personal goal set by myself. Owning 1,000 horses while maintaining 1 mil in equus. Doing alright so far. Almost halfway there in horses yet default smiley xd

Sped trained a couple of mine yesterday, one of the boys got 12 wins for me but no more default smiley xd lol. The other only 5....*sigh* Off to work more

My barn is about to explode with NIB babies. There are a couple of barbs, a brumby, a friesian, and a hano all going to give birth soon. If you want one just let me know and I can reserve it for you.

Is anyone else breeding Quarter horses? Obviously there are others, since the GP is many points higher than my personal best but I'm one of the more active ones on the NIB list forums. Send me a PM and maybe we can get organized within the breed--using each other's stallions, trading some mares (I especially want to find someone to swap some mares with since my 6 horses are all related but I want to breed to my own stallions!)
