[Info] The Retired Coat Gallery

This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

*#*#*#* If players feel the need break the main topic rules, such as sales ads/coat countdowns/spares-you can expect an instant forum ban without any warning prior to it *#*#*#*

Not completely sure which was my first *cough* bad memory *cough* but these were two of my first I believe.

And I feel

So I have a question too, Why do you collect?
(Examples: rarity, looks, etc.)
I collect for looks, I get the ones I like and leave the ones I don't.

I don't remember my first RC, it could be this one:

And this is the one I still have that i've owned longest.

I started collecting first for the artwork, I've a big love for art and I think this is also one of the reasons why I love Howrse so much and why it made me stay in the first place. The creations players make can be absolutely gorgeous and interesting, it gives me a lot of joy to see what players have made each time. Quickly enough I started to collect all coats because I do have a collector issue. default smiley (lol) I've always loved collecting things ever since I was younger, like stamps (yes lol), stickers, statues etc. Good thing I don't have it so bad now anymore haha!

Aw nobody is tired of seeing you! Have fun with camping though. default smiley :)

I can't say for certain which one was my first, since they retired while I was inactive, but it would be one of these 4:

Also, I picked this one up from the sales this morning default smiley :)

I mostly collect for looks. If I see one I think is gorgeous I just have to have it default smiley (7) Although if I get my hands on something rare for a good deal I like rare shinies too :3 And sometimes I'll keep a copy of the popular or very much desired ones, like my Humphrey.

This was probably my first, I thought Irish Hunters were ugly but my first horse was one so I covered it up with a coat and the rest is history default smiley xd I don't remember if I had any others before this one retired but. default smiley (8)

You mean this was one of them? I don't even remember seeing this coat! Thanks for looking! This is where a tab to see which ones have recently retired would come in handy!default smiley :)

No, I think it was on the previous page. I honestly couldn't find anything that retired recently that I know of that has been mentioned here.

Oh ok I thought it meant there had been two after that one retired...but still, I really want to know which one it was! I'm trying to get all the pre cs coats before any more retire. I'm getting closer to my goal, so hoping it was a coat I already have, or was a non pre cs one.

I regrettably sold off my 50+ RC horse collection last year, so I no longer have my first coat, and don't remember. But the coat I've had for the longest time is Snowflake Obsidian. Just can't let this one go.

I have no recall what so ever what my first retired coat was, i'm in awe of some of you long term collectors who do still recall!

I started collecting because it was something different/fun and away from the GP race which was way too spendy and already out of hand even all those years ago. And it had nothing on how it is now! I bred aussie uni's competitively for a while but it wasn't actually enjoyable, once i got one top of the rank for it's breed i quit. I always loved GA coats and noticed i had some retired ones and it went from there.

The amount of really rare coats i passed by back then because they were too expensive (about 2 to 3 passes as max pass price back then was 10) and GA's were less than 10k in sales with retired ones maybe 30k or a bit more if a bidding war started. default smiley xd If only we had known how our little corner of the game would explode....

The nicest thing by far about coat collecting is the other collectors, I have met so many lovely players along the road, some who remain and many who have sadly moved on but are still remembered fondly.
