This thread is here to show off your Retired Coats. This is not the place to post non retired coats. **The two exceptions would be coats that have been pulled (brief discussions) and the pre release coats.

REMEMBER:

******** absolutely no sales talk, no talk about spares or how many extras of a copy you got and selling them to fund your RC habit this is just a place to talk RCs

* although links and graphics are ok on this thread, they are not allowed normally on public forums

* any negative or unkind comments on artists or coats (or anyone!) will be removed, and depending on the case, it might mean an instant forum ban.

* DO NOT use this as a place to sell your horse/coats-if you feel the need to break this rule, it will mean an instant forum ban...

** Sales ads are NOT allowed in any public forums. Asking for spare coats will now be considered a sales ad. This includes stating that you plan to sell a coat, or point out coats for sale in sales.

* Do not use this place as a spot for rants or complaints-About coats/BG/or each other.

* This is not the place to ask players to price your coats, or to ask others the worth of a coat, you can check uses on your own by hovering your mouse over the gray apple and price it from there.

* This is not the place to bring up the subject of stolen images. Keep in mind that the rules of the BP used to be very different, and many old coats are from that time.
There is not any reason to bring that up, or report the coats.

*Please do not do a coat countdown for soon to retire coats.

* Please do not post coats that are currently in the GA and have either not retired, or will never retire.

* Please do not post coat/bg combos or ask opinions on them, except following coat release.

* Some coats may be removed in the future, whether that be for problems with the coats itself or just because they're clearing room on the server to allow other coats to be uploaded - if you're buying retired coats, please keep that in mind. If you want a permanent copy, I would recommend saving the graphic to your computer

* How to discover who many uses a New GC coat will retire-There is now a coat countdown in the GA, and it will show how many have been used and how many uses there are left.

** There is now a new creations directory which shows all coats. Go to Community>>>Directories>>>Creations>>>Click more criteria, and on the left hand side is a gold and silver apple. Click the silver apple and search to see all retired coats.

* To see who created/how many uses/name/or if you have it already of a RC coat, simply click on the silver apple, and it will tell you.

*** Posting links to other player's coats is NOT allowed and can mean a forum ban.

In the us we have thanksgiving im thankful howrse didnt delete my account and not sure how to write we need to be respectful and talk about retired coats and pre cs coats

I guess you are mainly not old enough to understand reference to the term video nasties default smiley ;)

No one is calling your art work nasty - heck I literally have never come across most of you before and I certainly can't link you to any creations, and that's the beauty of creation space, it's killed the joy of collecting coats because you like them/the artist and purely become a mechanical process to collect them all... if you are fast enough. No one has time to look who made it or even what it remotely looks like during release, blink and they're gone!

And that's the sad fact of it all, it's now pretty much about two things - either the resale value, or that Apple turning silver and increasing your number of silver apples overall. It really doesn't matter who made it or what it looks like!

I 100% agree with you haffy on that. I used to enjoy trying to collect coats. But now it's just a money pit for it. Incant keep up with the new releases so I have to be very selective on them or buy them after market.
I do have the vip perk for pre release but I always end up missing it due to work default smiley xd

It's just a hassle now, but I have the privilege to just play the game as I choose and have the coats I want �

I sometimes try for one maybe two 100 use coat but usually go for cute 200 plus use coats. I have a list of unlimited coats if im done with high use coats and have extra harmony packs. My golden apples go towards limited coats and pre cs right now. Did Nightshimmers coats going back to work in Warrior_Cats and DemureGirls etc.

I also like nash12/Big Fish, noctuarys/asphyxia Starynight, I like viserys but hard to get 100 use on my phone especially viserys, Lily, ayatest/ayazuea, Rohanna and a few others.

Haffy. You are flying sooo far away from the point we're trying to make here : Without artists, creative space wouldn't even exist at all. And neither would golden apples and helios ray.


We are asking for you, as a representant of the staff, to have some respect for the people who, again, carry a major part of the game (aka personalisation, and a huge part of the horse market) and that on basically free labor.
(Bcs the winning fee for GA and RH is just a legal payement for exploitation rights.)


You don't care about artists, we get it. But talking down about the major part of us and using derogatory terms is way out of line. Spare me for not having the same references as you, as most foreign and/or younger folks wouldn't have either, and taking that word as face vallue. You should be more cautious about using such language about free art. Ungratefullness is not a good look from howrse's staff.




One day, folks will get bored of being so badly considered and that day will just be the death of the creative space. [=

The "nasty" reference is over forty years old...it comes from a woman born 115 years ago... she is a reactionary campaigner with dwindling relevance...

I am thankful to have community art in the Creation Space. The creators are volunteers who make our experience on Howrse better for ALL, even the ungrateful and unappreciative. In fact, my experience collecting coats has expanded my palate. I increasingly appreciate the imagination needed for artists to create fantasy designs. It's made my artistic vocabulary richer.

Artists and creatives have always been and shall always be the makers of the future. The times, they are a-changing. The close-minded will be left behind and claw anything to hang on. Careful not to get hurt default smiley (8)

Moderators are not staff - I am simply a player, just like you.

Granted we have literally a couple of extra buttons, in regards the community aspect of the game and a way to notify the actual staff of any issues (admin team), but that is all.

Maybe JUST MAYBE if people stopped snatching up coats at all costs, stopped assigning them some imagined value, and actually focused only on what they like (instead of burying the ones they hate in the hay)... maybe we'd have a place for true collectors (including those who know who's behind their favorite works).
I'd really like to ask that if someone doesn't like my coats - then dont use use them. And then they would be cheap again. And if people snatch them anyway, it would be nice if they didn't announce that "they weren't worth wasting a harmony pack on, but they're on a limit soo..."
But what can I do when apparently we don't even know who made them (you can check this every month here, in case you're too old or too young for reading) and it always has been only about consumption...
I'll just stay our Ea-Nasir of creative space (sorry for a little bit outdated reference default smiley ;)) for my bad sake i just like the community outside ga trading centers

I don't mind the selling of coats if reasonable just when suddenly theres an unusual amount of copies missing too soon.

The sharp points, the muscle, the smooth texture and blend of colors. Always loved this one!

Absolute PERFECT shading!! The bones look so real and the black just makes it pop. I love that it has a summer vibe while also being a skeleton

I love how it just blends together so nicely. Where the legs turn to tentacles but without looking unnatural. I love it


Does he have great anatomy? No. Is he a little derpy? Yes. Is he full to the brim with charm and personality? Absolutely! One of the most expensive ones I’ve bought and worth every penny
