'Simplified rides have been adjusted: If a horse's energy is insufficient to complete the set duration, the maximum possible duration based on its energy is now automatically selected.'

Is there any way to turn this off? Normally, if the game lags, the feeding doesn't register, or I click too fast, the ride block would just bounce back and prevent the action. Now, it just drains my horse's energy to zero instead. I'm not paying for the VIP subscription to set a 4.5-hour ride only for the game to do 4 hours instead...
I totally get that it's useful for some playstyles, but there's really no reason for it to work this way by default. They could have easily added a simple toggle checkbox on the rides page like 'Automatically adjust ride duration'. Plus, nowhere in the UI does it even inform you that the duration you select is now just a suggestion rather than a hard limit.

You can turn simplified rides off by clicking on the gear above the box. And do rides manually.

But I don't want to do them manually. That's the whole point of using the "Set the simplified ride duration for every type of ride" perk - so I don't have to manually pick the time every single time. If I set 4.5 hours, I expect 4.5 hours, not 3 because the game changes it.

As long as you keep enough reserve until the end of the day, say stroke and a carrot or mash it doesn't matter if you go down to zero but you will get the maximum skills for your horse each day. Before this change if you wanted to max it out you had to switch to manual for the last ride or do training instead.

XElis you set for 4.5 yeah now I can see why its annoying now. I never used the simplified rides in the first place just tried it because of the new changes.

My simplified rides are set to 5 hour blocks because it makes it easy to complete rides without having to check the detailed stats page. 10-5 hour rides in the correct location completes skill gain. Choosing the duration of auto rides is a VIP perk that I'm paying hard earned PASSES for. The game shouldn't be able to override a perk I pay for. My perk, my way.
