I'm glad the removal of pegasus wings will no longer be a requirement. I think it should always be an option, though, since some people actually need to be able to do that now and then.

Now you just need to ditch the removing a uni horn objective. I've been getting pretty aggravated by having my streak broken over these objectives.

I am so glad they removed the "Remove a Pegasus' wings" objective! I did it once during an event because a player had asked for help, but felt horrible afterwards (and still do) for doing that to my pegasus. Even though our horses aren't real, it still feels like I actually hurt them. I look forward to the day the "remove a unicorn's horn" is taken down too (and hopefully that happens very soon).
thanks for deleting remove a pegasus' wings! even at 20 passes, that one was never worth it since pegasi are like 60p in sales at least default smiley (lol)

dehorn a unicorn is fine as is, unicorns are 10p in sales anyway so it's not like you're losing anything (and sometimes can gain 10p, if it's the 20p objective...)

win a rosette is the other major annoying one for me... whenever you remove that one, I will be a very happy player!default smiley (8)

The draft unicorns are useless after they have done their 3 coverings so they don't need their horns anymore.
I just wish they would give us an objective to take off ploutos parchments, since they keep asking me to sell so many droppings at the store, which I need for my plant divines.

I would also like to see an objective to remove a Pluto’s parchment added, and anything to do with unicorns deleted. Also having to sell droppings is very annoying, considering I need all I can get to feed my hungry plant divines. Be handy if we could buy them back again default smiley ;)

I agree with all that is said

We do still need to remove the
cover a donkey too -
and pull a uni horn -
or give birth to a uni
Cover a Draft horse -

Anything that has limited covers is super super not worth it and so annoying.

Thank you for the effort though

I really hope they remove the 'win a rosette' objective, since it's really hard for new players like me to fill that objective, since they have low GP horses since they have only recently started breeding, and they also have low money so they can't buy a super good horse to try to win one. Also, some contests can take a couple days to get filled, so even if you enter a rosette contest, there's no guarantee it will even start in time, and it will also be tough getting first place, as well. I've gotten it a couple times, and then have to break my streak because I can't complete it.
I personally like that we sometimes have to remove unicorn horns. Unicorns don’t sell for much anymore, but this objective helps giving them at least some value. If the objective goes, unicorns could lose even more value and would probably sell for even less than they do now.

I agree with this. I'm not a new player, but I'm not a competitive one, and it's really irritating to have to buy a top horse, since they're so expensive. Last time I got the objective, I spent more than a million on it because the first horse I bought wouldn't win a rosette. And it's hard to even resell them for the same amount as you bought them, since the gp race goes so quick the horses are soon worth less.

Looking in the sales, any horse that has a chance of winning a rosette is at least half a million, if not more, and that's just not fair for the average player. Even if you save up and buy a top horse, in a week that horse will have trouble winning rosettes. One of the horses I bought to complete that objective was one of the highest skills in the sales for equus at the time, and I had to buy another horse of a different breed to complete that objective. In total, that objective cost me 1,060,500. Yes, you could just skip it, but why should players have to skip that objective just because they don't have a spare million lying around? And it's not even worth buying a top horse for passes to complete it. No horse capable of winning rosettes is going to be for sale for 20 passes.

I actually didn't mind the "remove a pegasus' wings" one, but then I have an advantage over some people since I have a divine that gives me medusa's blood. I do understand why it was so unpopular, though. Many people won't have a spare medusa's blood hanging around, and pegasuses aren't all that cheap. Objectives should not make you have to spend drastically more than you get for completing it for the average player (noncompetitive, nonpass buyer).

Aaaand I wrote an essay. Oops. If you read all that, will you tell me what you think of it?

If it is possible, i have had an idea of grouping accounts that have similarities for the objectives. i don't have any donkeys and i really don't want any ( not quite my cup of tea) and because of that i now have to start all over ? default smiley :( big bummer!

So here is my idea. from what i gather the daily objectives are randomized (maybe ? ) if that is the case, why not group accounts that have a minimum of say 3 donkeys (for example) to include the objectives referring to the donkeys (pet, cover, sell, ect) with other accounts that have donkeys wail still being randomized to make you the bulk of the objectives.

As for every one else, who dose not have any donkeys, they would be excluded from the objectives pertaining to donkeys. I hope this make sense.. default smiley :)
Thank you so very much for getting rid of one of the mutilation objectives! I don't care if they're "just pixels" I still won't do it. It's been odd losing out on passes because I refuse to mutilate a horse on a horse-care game. Others may not mind it due to different perspective (no knock against them, the world is full of different perspectives) but a lot of us have been horrified by it for a long time.

When we have the Great Challenge if we cannot do an objective we are able to exchange an item to be able to complete the objective, would this be able to be implemented here so players do not lose their daily passes and the hop streak. Many players have bmi’s in their inventory which they would gladly give up, I know I have many dust collectors in minedefault smiley :-))

I am a new player and still kinda new to this :/ I find the breeding part confusing. I want somewhere that you can see if they can breed or not. That would be appreciated default smiley :)

Welcome to Howrse! If you're playing on the desktop/classical version you'll see a "breeding" box on your horse's page, towards the bottom right. The box will be collapsed until your horse is old enough to breed at 2 years and 6 months. You can click on it to expand it and it will tell you if your horse is still to young to breed. When your horse is old enough, the box will expand, and if you have a mare, the "Cover my mare" button will be in color whenever your mare is ready to be covered.

I think that you are perfectly right. And since the race for top gp is so fast, a horse you bought awhile ago that was top will soon not be top, so it won't win a rosette as easily. Even getting the HoP at the end and the 30 passes for all the next days can't replace the cost of a top gp horse.
Hey, not sure if it was this update but my EC forum is gone. I am 99% sure I had all my topics as "announcements" so that they would never be removed by the 30 day of being inactive. Just seeing if anyone has had this same thing happen before trying contact us.

Mine are still there.
Would love if this (and the WoY task) was replaced with a "remove a black market item of your choice from a horse" objective, rather than removing a specific item. I've got TONS of horses with items that no longer benefit them now that they're fully trained and blupped, especially if they're just part of my "collection" now and I'm not even using them for competitions anymore (chronos' timer, philotes' stroke, kairos dial, achilles' heel... I could go on). I'd love to "trade in" those items for a few passes by way of an objective. (and also have the ability to get rid of actively annoying ones like ploutos parchment has become, now that we have the plant divines)

I never thought of that, but that's a great idea. I also have items that are no longer beneficial that I'd like to trade in for passes.

I never had a problem with the remove a pegasus' wings objective...I normally chose to simply sell a pegasus, since you can normally get twice as many passes by doing that as opposed to completing your objective, but still.

I'm glad it's removed, though, *only* because it shows that Howrse *does* listen to players, since so many players have consistently complained about it over the past year or so.

I'm a little annoyed by the many, many requests throughout this thread to remove literally any other even remotely difficult objective, though...the objectives aren't meant to be easy/always completable...what would be the point, then? They may as well simply give you a button to click that automatically gives you 30 passes every day. The majority of the objectives aren't too terribly expensive/time-consuming, especially once you become more established. Sometimes it's cheaper/easier to skip the objective/lose the HOP streak, yes. Sometimes you may not have a choice, especially if you're newer or you don't have a lot of money/horses/large BMI stash. But it's not the end of the world.

A better option would be to add a feature where you can skip your objective by paying Equus or exchanging a BMI, like you can in the Great Challenge. Somebody suggested this in the ideas topic in the VIP forum recently and I really liked it.
