Like I said, you do you - if that's your preferred style of gameplay (albeit unusual) then go right ahead; I highly doubt anyone cares about it and there's no right or wrong here. You've got to play the way that makes sense to you and nobody is arguing with you here

Given the stats on your account, it's easy to think it may belong to a newer player who may not realize they get a free token to play with and save some passes, and mentioned it just in case. Once again, I'm very sorry, as it was not intentioned to come across as an insult to senority/knowledge/experience/etc. I personally don't operate that way and didn't foresee any offense coming from it - I'm very much a "take it if useful or leave it if not" kind of person as far as tips & info is concerned, and don't put a whole lot of value on things like seniority. So again, I'm sorry to have caused offense; it was not my intent.

Besides, if you read my profile, you'd know I usually play on mobile - as a result, I don't see much info on anyone's else's profile, including anything they've written.

I'm out - good luck & happy Howrse-ing! default smiley 8-)

Maybe you are taking my answers a bit too personal? I NEVER took your tip/suggestion/answer as an insult or whatever. As I stated twice, I appreciated the intended help.

But yes, I do react to tips which aren’t that helpful and explain, why I do think so. With that I don’t mean the tip “collect” your Drachma (it is also explained in the tutorial, but better mention it twice). But seriously. Imho one of the worst tips for a new player for the Olymp is: “Use your free Drachma”. I would always suggest “Collect your Drachma as long as possible and only use Drachmas before they go to waste until you at least own enough divines for a good start hand and gained some experience.”

If I would use a Drachma now my start hand would look like this: 4* 2* 2* with the ability to collect two more 2* card on the way. EVERY single Obol game has better chances than this.
Before I need to use a Drachma to safe it from going to waste the chances with my Obol success rate are high, that I at least own Nyx plus the boss from next round. Maybe another one or two trophy/event/luck item divines. So why should I use a Drachma at the moment?

As I don’t play the mobile version I actually didn’t know, that you don’t get any profile informations. Sorry for that. But at this point… doesn’t it make even more sense that I mentioned, that I am not new to this game in general? Maybe I could have told without mentioning the number of my log in days. It just felt like the shortest way to explain. I didn’t expect, that someone might feel offended (??) by it.

And sorry to add this, but I can’t hold myself…
I find it a bit funny, that you call my style of game play “unusual” comparing our Olymp success rates default smiley :-x default smiley :-x

~A little reminder~ that snarkily crashing out at somebody mildly informing you that they are not new and actually do know what they are doing is not an example of “kindness and humility”. And this equally snarky response to that person’s bewildered response to your snark isn’t an example of it, either.

@Wildmage: You are right, my later reactions weren’t so nice. I should not have reacted that snarky.

I absolutely cannot stand when an answer to a friendly (at least imo) and detailed explanation, why a kindly intend tip isn’t so helpful (or even the opposite of helpful…), can be read as “Ok, no one stops you from being du*mb and wasting your money.” Plus the stats show, that I’ve collected the Drachmas and play kinda well with Obols. Only to accuse me of having taken a well-intended tip as an insult, even though I have said the opposite twice. Topped off by a comment that gives the impression of considerering oneself as morally superior.
…I know, after I commented that I consider myself more successful at the Olymp game… but the stats… default smiley (8) default smiley xd (don’t take the last one to seriously, I know I should have hold myself).

And I also know that’s a me problem.

??? You literally weren’t the snarky person I was referring to. You are the person mildly responding, then bewilderedly responding to completely unnecessary snark on the side of ascentia. Ok, that last response was a bit snarky, I’ll admit, but very reasonable.

And I was quoting a famous person, the quote means that if you have to *tell* people about how powerful/polite/kind/humble/etc you are, you aren’t that thing; not that you, specifically, are a lady.default smiley ;)

I am in perfect agreement with you, Drachmas are not better if you do not have the Divines to make them useful. ascentia appears to not understand what makes Drachmas more likely to win. Telling new players to use up their free Drachmas before they have Good Divines is very bad advice. I am, however, shocked at your current win rate with Obols as you appear to have beat the average in the Nyx Run significantly. I’d love to know if you have some amaging strategy or just a massive luck streak default smiley (lol)

If I'm reading Wildmage's comment correctly... I think they were calling the other person snarky, and not you.
Although, props for being willing to acknowledge a wrongdoing. I think that shows a lot of 'humility'.

On a side note; welcome to the International server.
Our forums are an endless source of entertainment, if you enjoy watching the verbal equivalent of MMA. I certainly do.

@ Wildmage and Avre:

Ahh, ok, got it default smiley :d Thanks for clarification Eventhough it wouldn’t have been wrong to call me out for the last comment.
I thought I was meant by the quote, because I was constantly talking about success rates and comparing mine with ascentias in a not so ladylike way default smiley :d
Being autistic with some fun sparks of ADHD plus english as second language doesn’t make it easy to get all the hints.
I think my autism might be a reason why I loved the old Olymp so much. Stats, stats, stats - and strategy with a hint of luck. Perfection default smiley (7) default smiley :d

Ok, enough OT:

I don’t think it is a pure luck streak. On the german sever my success rate is even higher with Obols. Almost 35% (9 out of 26). But luck for sure is a factor.
I tried to go the easier way at first. In Level 3 I always decide between the middle and the right - depending on which divines are offered. If you don’t care, take the right way. Since I changed back to always taking the hardest way till level 3 (like in the old version) not only my success rates have increased (on both servers) but also I am getting much more fragments.
What I do have change compared to the old version: In level 1 I almost never take another grey card on my hand. Even though the only alternative is a bonus. They are worthless after a few rooms in level 1. Pretty much the only exception: When my hand cards have a deficit on one color and I get a grey card in room 2 which fills in the “hole”.
Other than that it is important to level up the best cards as fast as possible, except you are running out of energy (so frustrating with the new mode) or a better card is offered, and you don’t have good hand cards already.
With the old mode I always combined my card for the best percentage possible (pretty much no matter what). In the new mode I sometimes willingly choose not the best combination, if I fear to run low on energy with my best cards, if the next one or two rooms contain fragments.

I hope, this helps a tiny bit. But still - compared to the beloved mode, the luck factor is MUCH MUCH higher.

Edit: Important sentences is missing after “I tried got the easier way at first”…

default smiley (b) From my experience I would suggest, NOT to do that. I changed back to always taking the right way till level 3. default smiley (b)
