I really do not play anymore because it seems that if you are not VIP or a top player, you will not succeed in this game.

Because I feel like this needs to be clarified, it's perfectly possible to succeed without a VIP account, we don't get pass or item handouts or anything like that, we just have more ease of use with our account. We also don't get discounts on things that cost passes or equus, so it honestly baffles me whenever I see people say "you probably won't succeed without VIP", because it is very possible to do so if you put your mind to it.

I am not a VIP and yet I have still managed to complete most promos without passes and I still get divines. I think I have 30 something divines and I never bought passes before- not even once. I have a line of selle-corns with decent genetics that I bred up myself. And I won eligibility for a VIP account. Is this what you consider successful? I agree that it is possible to succeed as a non-VIP and as a non-pass buyer. It just takes a bit longer due to a slower start up. I suppose how successful you are just depends on how much you're willing to put into the game? If you're not going to put anything into the game then you're not going to get anything out of it. Isn't that how everything works?

I'm pretty happy that the reindeer are finally going to be able to do something other than take up space in my storage tab or suck resources with zero return, even last place in every comp they're ever placed in would be far preferable to gaining nothing.
The ability to give them skills for passes is kind of screwy, I sincerely hope that the events they're used for in the future DO NOT take those skills into account as it would be grossly unfair to non pass buyers if that gave any significant edge in the events.

I've never even been a Pegasus and am fairly successful, and have a fair amount of equus and passes. Sure I'm not a great example, but I am an okay one. And people need to see VIPs might not have more passes then others because they pay 5000 for 6 months default smiley xd

Has anyone else noticed that aging points seem to be much harder to come by? Or, is that something that happens when you are new and then resets after you have been on for a while? I had loads and now I have hardly any but I haven't been playing any differently.

Since the chance of getting them is random, it seems to depend on the day. Some days I get loads, and others, not so much.

The more horses you wake up, the fewer aging points you find.

Not sure if this is the right place to report bugs or what not, but I've found that I can't watch ads on the mobile version of the game, and this has been the case for the last few days now. Usually the video player opens up and plays the ad, but now the page has this message: "This feature is currently turned off." Anyone else get this? Desktop version still works though.

Mods feel free to delete this post and let me know where to ask this if not appropriate here

I noticed a change on the mobile version pass page today. I live in the US. My pass purchase options are now:
59 passes for 99¢
399 passes for $4.99
999 passes for $14.99
2,999 passes for $34.99
7,999 passes for $79.99

What if we made the game more... breeding centered. I'm not sure how many people are actually in the horse world but truly only the top horses get to stay studs whereas the others get gelded. I'm not saying geld everything but what if (if you're a Pegasus account) you can add notes to the horses, let other people be able to see the notes. Since we're not able to set breeding standards for studs, at least allow it to where if people want to take it to a different level they can.

Not say this is the best option for everyone but, some of us would like to create a more breeding competitive grounds. Since we don't have genes to worry about, line breeding really isn't an issue.. This would be fun.

Sorry if this has already been addressed. For the Reindeer ranking, is the ranking by top Reindeer of the month or top breeder who has Reindeer (cumulative)? the wording is confusing to me.

It's for each deer entered individually.

Having had one short run through, I think it's a shame there isn't any public record like there is with the Grand Prix. I think we should have icons on the breeder's and winning deer's pages as we do for that.

(I can't believe I got second! I was in first place till nearly the end which really was a surprise! I would love to have something to commemorate it)

One old pass is 100 current passes. That was one big change.

Pass horses are no longer a thing. Instead, we have the daily objectives. You can earn up to 30 passes per day by completing those.

I agree. I have been using the note option to keep a record of my Blitzen's wins from runs (unbeaten in 70 comps so far) because despite the recommendation in testing that the hit parade be replaced with one that shows their record for the only type of competition they can enter, that didn't happen. I've only been comping one other reindeer and have not bothered keeping her details. She mostly finishes second or third although won all of her comps today.

My Blitzen earned 50 passes, so finished somewhere from 4th to 10th. It would have been nice to know exactly where she finished and to have a badge on her page like with the Grand Prix horses.

I would also love somewhere to be able to see the results from the skijoring comps - I had been gradually working my way up the ranks until I got to somewhere around the 50s on the last day, and it would be great to know how close I got to being in the money! Instead those results just disappeared and I’ll never know what my efforts ultimately led to.

So annoying! I did see the top ten list this morning, but I was on my tablet and I've never been able to get taking a screenshot to work on it. Just looked and the page went and logged in and updated grrr

If you won passes it should tell you in the notification what place you came in. Off to write mine down before I forget...

I'm not from the horse world, but I like the idea. I think color genetics would be so cool as well. But I get that that would be very hard to implement, coding wise?

Or, another thing that would be cool: (randomized) face markings! Like the little markings lots of horses have on their faces (blaze, star, etc) or legs (stocking), and with random I mean they would be 'independent' from their coat color, meaning every combination is possible. (I know this is not a suggestion forum... but this idea just sprung to mind and I got excited! default smiley :d I hope it's okay to post here. I will delete if it's not allowed)

They would be very cool additions and they have been proposed many times in the past. However, as our original Ow explained (we're on Ow 3.0 now), aside from the massive coding headache that would arise from color genetics, the markings would mean having to draw hundreds more base coats: very costly to do, and it would take up a lot more server space.

Ah yes, very understandable. It would not be easy, that's true!

I was thinking though, what if the markings would just be 'layered' right on top of the already existing horse picture? I believe that is how the pegasus wings work too (not entirely sure about it). Because when my computer is slow, it is loading the horse picture and sometimes the wings or mane pop in 1 sec later, suggesting the pictures could exist of multiple individual pictures/layers?

I don’t think people should be too worried about people spending passes to increase their reindeer’ skills. If it’s anything like normal comps, it’d actually be a disadvantage since they wouldn’t be able to see the races with “regular” reindeer and might not even have enough reindeer to run.

What I’d like to know is when the rankings update, because I often see some of my reindeer that have earned less, being placed higher in the rankings. default smiley (o)

I don't have times, but it seems to be several times a day. So if an update happens while you are working your deer you can end up with some updated and some not.
