Does this mean we need to use a -new- Customization item? Or could we, say, re-use Lyres / Unlimited HRs already on the horse?

Does anyone remember when the Packs came out last year? I think it was around Christmas, but I'm not sure how close.

So they are taking away pass horses - a system that is reliable and far more flexible than points - and replacing it with a system that will make trying to guarantee 10 points per day barely worth it for 99% of players.

Buying passes/a subscription completely detracts from this being a way 'loyal' players can be rewarded; it is not a reward if I had to buy it! Same with buying BM items; not even Howrse's constant promos give us enough BM items to use one every day without spending passes (or a lot of equus in exchanges, which we have a limited number of anyway) and spending passes to get a free pass every 3 days is pointless. Even if we did, there is no guarantee they would be from the right category. Hiring employes, again, costs passes and, again, makes the whole thing an exercise in futility. And crediting equus/AP.

Some of the 'player' ones seem fairly irrelevant to being a 'loyal player'. What does editing our presentation have to do with being loyal players? And having pm's and forums posts as potential point earning requirements is just asking for trouble. With thousands of players playing daily, there simply aren't enough real reasons for everyone to be posting in the forums every day. 90% of the posts will end up being pointless spam, only posted because players don't want to miss out on such an easy way of possibly earning a point, same with a lot of pm's. Forum posts and pm's also have little to do with gameplay - it is perfectly possible to have a successful game with little to no contact with other players.

The top 100 in the Prix one is blatantly unfair to 99.9% of players. Not only do you have some people unable to access the GP at all, getting into the top 100 is difficult even for well established players, and it is *expensive*. On top of that, there are only 100 places, so if more than 100 people per day have that as one the things they need to do to earn 10 points, then it immediately becomes impossible for all of them to get 10 points, no matter how hard they try. Hardly rewarding the loyal players. The same for the rankings - there simply aren't enough places to go around, and in many rankings rising into the top 1,000 is difficult, never mind breaking into the top 100.

I don't mind having some challenging requirements (after all, pass horses are expensive and/or time consuming to many players) but none of the requirements should require the use of passes or real money, and they should be relevant to gameplay and theoretically achievable for all players even if 2,000 people have the same requirement in one day.

If these are the potential daily actions we need to complete, I think less people will be getting their 10 passes a month (or 121 passes a year) than initially expected

I cant remember that tree divines name, and i'm unsure if it needs a spoiler so ill do it to be safe. is there a master post on him? Id like to start stocking up pass horses since i think thats what someone said we need to get him. Can someone possibly please confirm?

yesterday I had 14 pass horses pass away, I got 13 passes.
Not liking system to come at all, instead of redoing the game every time we blink maybe just put a 10 pass limit on pass horses and anything over a random bmi.

Than maybe you could just spend your time maintaing the game to work properly.
It has been broke for over a week.

Not sure if this goes here but I was wondering if anyone could estimate the time of the next HOP opening frenzy- where players open as many HOP's as possible in order to possibly win a divine. I noticed in the past that there was a trend, but since that was a long time ago, I haven't been on here long enough to observe it. Normally the trend would be something like: heavy BMI event via cards or something where you had to collect them, some type of lottery thing, an HOP frenzy, a horse GP race frenzy etc. Again, sorry if this doesn't go here.

Does anyone know if an HOP promo of any kind is coming up? I'm saving up HOPs and I'm just wondering if there's anything worth saving them for coming up soon

Jade was in the Golden Fleece, and the wild horse was in the HOP. Maybe we have the chance to get a gemstonehorse in HOPs. But I don't know

I would have liked to treat myself with the most expensive pass pack and supplement the passes I get from that with pass horses. I had a guaranteed 11 passes per month and a max of 31, so it was worth it to try and get Divines using passes earned as well as bought.

Now I will get a maybe 10 passes, but most likely not as:
I don't breed drafts or donkeys and don't offer covers.
I don't do beach rides, I don't accept boarders in my EC and I don't hire employees
I don't credit ageing points or Equus.
I don't enter the Grand Prix because there is no way I will finish in the top 100.
To win a rosette or enter into the top 100 for a ranking is impossible because all of those are dominated but the top 3 teams.
I don't sell horses to the Safe Haven or in auctions, I used to keep these around as pass horses.
I don't buy auction horses because my data line is slow and I never win an auction.

The other available actions I do but a lot of them not very often. So basically, I can wave earned passes goodbye, which means I will stop buying passes too, because I won't be able to get enough passes to justify spending a little money here and there. So basically, passes are going to be out of my reach soon.

This also means that aging points become useless and all my potential pass horses now are of zero value.

they are now starting to dictate how I will play the game. There are certain things I do not want to do at all and certain things I don't want to do daily. When I put BMIs on horses I usually do it in bulk once a month, not once a day, and I certainly don't buy BMIs with passes or put them on average horses. I only ever spend passes to get Divines and then only the ones I really want.

So either I play their way, which sucks, or I play my way and wave passes and Divines goodbye.
