Spyder, maybe my point wasn't very clear... I'll try an actual example:

You choose that your coat will only have 100 uses, and so you are paid the reduced price for that coat. You accept that price, trusting it really will have only 100 uses.

But now Howrse will let it be used 20 more times, that's 20% more than you both agreed, and what you were paid for.

Is that fair? The agreement is being broken, long after we agreed it.

You are correct though, that they have the rights to the artwork now. It's not a legal issue, just an ethical one.

(And that loss-of-rights-to-own-work is why I will never draw any coats again default smiley (lol) Artists should think carefully before submitting...)

That is chatting, as is all the complaining that has been going on in this topic, and all of the off-topic stuff, and the commentaries about supposed motivations of Owlient default smiley ;)

The place to offer alternative suggestions is the testing zone, whenever that opens.

Ow posted a warning here this afternoon, and I suspect it would be a good idea for everyone to heed that warning default smiley ;)

As a RC collector, I'm very horrified to learn that retired coats will be allowing a few more uses. There are many coats that are in my collection that I've spent years looking for and that have been retired for a very, very long time. So now, a player can just put in a big chunk of change and grab a coat? While there are some old coats I'd love to have, I can't justify this being a good thing. Many RC's are even rarer than they show as many copies are still living on "dead accounts" and very few are "in circulation". I also have to agree with those who bring up the point that it isn't fair to the artists either. If it's a Creation Space coat, then they submitter picked a use limit and that shouldn't be changed. The Pre-CS coats were either retired by the player or retired when that player left and they shouldn't even be touched. This makes me sick that Howrse is even thinking of doing this. Luckily, I haven't spent any money on this game, but my heart hurts for those that have, especially the RC collectors, some of which I feel are good friends. Absolutely out of line to even think about introducing this.

Hehe, sorry Zig, if I was getting off-topic too. I just had to comment on that topic, being one of those artists affected. I'll be quiet now though.

Does anyone know what Cloud's skills will be like? That's the only reason I might want him - if he's amazing like Ocean or Geyser then I will totally try to get him!

Have to agree. So long as the discussion is kept respectful, without insults and without hate, if it's a discussion over a certain spoiler how does it not belong?

Why not put together a single, calm, coherent message and send it to Contact? There is no harm either in posting a similar type of comment here, using spoiler tags. *One* clear, concise, polite, reasoned post is far more likely to get across the writer's point than a series of repeated complaints default smiley ;)

What has been going on here is the same people posting over and over and over, saying the same things again and again, going off topic, speculating as to business plans and motivations of Owlient, and other things that are not spoilers of features that might be coming. And big long essays, on various topics, that nobody is going to bother reading. Short, clear, and concise are key.

What went on here last night bordered on ridiculous.

What has been going on in here has largely had nothing to do with new features that might be coming, and a lot to do with speculations over business policies and motivations, complaints, the usual quitting threats, and stuff last night that is not permitted for discussion anywhere on the site.

EC forums are more suitable for essays, opinion pieces, rants and complaints that just go around and around over the same one or two points, etc default smiley ;)

Also when it comes to Cloud do anyone have him on this server? My Rain is pregnant but it will take time before I can see Clouds skillset....
(Im thinking of Final Fantasy Crisis Core everytime I See someone say "Cloud"default smiley (lol))

Most of the "oldies" know I tend to sympathize with those that don't or are unable to have the privilege that VIPs ( yes I am VIP) have. I don't always post much here but I do read and if I think a concern has been raised that is a valid point I tend to raise it when I get invited. I know if asked politely I will often get a reply from one of the ADMINs there or I am at least able to bring it to there attention.

I can tell you that many of your concerns are also felt by VIPs and are discussed on the test server. Some become hot debates between players and or the invited players with the ADMINs that are on the test server.

I personally think all our posts are read and even if you don't think anything has happened it could be something that was already on the back burner but not able to be implemented at the time because of other issues.

Well, I agree it simply has to stop because it's an issue that an be forever debated. But for that reason only. The reason behind why Owlient may implement something is just as fair game as anything else. If we were to say they do it because they love us so much, don't think anyone would have complained.

No Clouds have been born here yet, It will still be a few days. But, There are some on the Danish server and perhaps a few other servers, that you can locate. default smiley :)

Um, no, it is not. Those things are nothing whatsoever to do with the identity and working of new features that might be coming to the game. And *that* is the purpose of this forum topic default smiley ;)

I suppose this is sort of a spoiler-related question. If it's not, please forgive me.
Does anyone have a list of what prizes are available at what level of collected horseshoes for this contest?

For example, if my question was not clear, I know that at 240 horseshoes you get M.Arms and that at 170 you get a Horn of Plenty, but could anyone tell me what comes after those?

The issue with Contact Us is that they hardly ever really listen, Dr Zig. I have indeed tried many times.
And yes--what about us lowly non VIPs? We weren't invited to test! We can't express our opinions.

I do not believe complaining about being a VIP or not, belongs in this topic. It would be great in an EC topic or something. default smiley (y)
That said, VIP players get invited to give their opinion because they have played in the game competitively enough to get VIP. I know several players, Including myself, who have never bought passes.
It would be silly for howrse to pick a new player to the game, and ask them their opinion on something that would affect things far beyond what that newer player understands at the moment. Honestly, The opinions they would get back would consist of "No, You need to allow horses to be sold out of SH first!"
