I'm going to keep my EC as forest, because that suits how I blup my horses. I'll use missions to gain resources, and when I have those got for the day I'll switch them to the money-making mode default smiley :p Monkey wants to be in charge of tractor maintenance. Not sure that's the best idea, and I suspect he just wants to drive them around the farm default smiley :p

default smiley xd

...and speaking of monkeys, if default smiley (ow) does anything to delay the launch, he will get the mother of all ticklings. It will hurt a lot - me, not him - as he knows how to use his teeth and nails, but it will be worth it, and it's always fun to hear him squeal and giggle as he squirms default smiley :p

I'm excited about the new features coming default smiley :d *we need a bouncing up and down smiley*

I'm not looking forward to these changes.

I want the good old Howrse from when I started. It was fun, nice, relaxing and a stress reliever for me.

Now...

...it's complicated, tedious, not fun, VERY expensive and stressful.

I'll say again, if I wanted to play a crafting game, I'd play Minecraft.

[Note: I know Minecraft isn't the only game that allows crafting. It's just an example as it's a well known crafting game.]

On the tests we could change location as many times as we want in a day. Will this be the same here or will it be limited to one change per day or something? I can't seem to find anywhere that is says otherwise so I assume we can change at will?

You can it as much as you for 30 days and try each location.

But after the 30 days, it's locked in permanently and you can't change it.

Lots of stuff is known, is there anything particular you would like to know about?

Crafting?
Changes?
Items?

Or do you just want a general summary?

Well, no one is forcing you to keep playing. If you don't like the changes, you can either quit the game or learn to deal with them. Plus, the changes open up more opportunities for newer players and help older players increase their game.

So what's everyone's opinion on the best ec location? I have been fighting with myself over it since I heard about the changes! Especially today! (Don't know if anyone has tried it, but its not easy to fight with yourself.default smiley :p ......Well maybe it is, cause then you always win!!default smiley :pdefault smiley (lol))
Alright, here's a summary of what is to come. It's basic but should give you a good idea of what to expect:

Click to display

The Meadow and Box action is being removed - to compensate, horses will now earn even more energy and morale from the Feed action.

The bonuses found via these actions will now be found during Missions.
The Divines who used these actions for their benefits have been altered as well:

Longma - 100% chance to find a Tub of Grease during Missions
Quartz - Chance to find a diamond when Drinking
Opal - Chance to find a diamond when eating a Carrot
Pixiu and Pearl (whose bonuses were based on Lessons) remain the same

Missions are the new name of Lessons. There are two kinds:

Lessons - which bring in Money for the Center
Gathering - which brings in Resources for the Center
Both kinds STILL give skills and equus to the horse and its owner.

Resources are introduced. The location of your center determines which resource your missions bring in, and which ones you'll need to buy from the store:

Forest = Wood
Mountain = Iron
Beach = Sand

You will have 30 days from the update day to change your location as often as you like to try them out. After this, your center is stuck in its final location.

All centers will be given a Small Workshop to craft items in. These items take resources and are crafted in real time (similar to crops). Of course, you can buy/craft larger workshops.
How many workshops you can have active at a time is dependent on Prestige. The more prestigious your center, the more workshops you can have producing at the same time.
You can use what you produced for your center, or your own horses, or sell them for money.

Cows are being added to get Leather. They are placed on a meadow and grow like a regular crop (take 30 days). You can put a Feed Trough on your meadows to increase how much leather you get.

You will now be allowed up to 6 meadows for growing crops/raising cows on. Small and Large greenhouses will also be added, with no limit on how many you can have (so you can now have more than 1 greenhouse growing in Winter now default smiley :))

The Water Trough is added as a benefit for boxes - if a horse has a trough in its box, it earns four times the energy and morale when drinking. It is stackable with the Grand Prix Fountain bonus.

I wish the preprod would have let the 30 days of cow production come to fruition. If they end it now all of us in the test site with cows in production will never see how it can benefit us.

@ Dr Zig - What does Monkey have to drink while waiting for the update? You have your coffee but what about him?

I'd say the best location is dependent on what you want to do with your Center.

Click to display

If you want to have a lot of boxes, and/or cheaper repair costs for buildings - the Forest or Beach is best.
These locations give Wood/Sand respectively, which is used to Craft and Repair Boxes, Workshops, and Greenhouses. However, outside of this - these two resources do not have much use.

If you want to use your center for crafting/providing a lot of benefits - the Mountain is where you want to be. Mountain ECs bring in Iron, which is used to craft Showers, Troughs, Tractors, Saddles, Bridles, and a few other things.

Take my center for example; I want to provide full benefits at all times (including Troughs and Showers). Since we can change location as often as we like for the first 30 days from Update - I'm going to put my center in the Mountains to get Iron to craft Troughs (my missing benefit) and 3*** tack at a lower price. Before the last day however, I'll probably switch back to Forest so I can harvest wood to keep my boxes and workshops in good shape.

For those wondering...here's a Master List of each resource and what it is used for. This does not contain Times or Amounts needed - it is just a list of what does what.

Actually - Ow had announced that the time was shortened on Testing. It didn't affect those that were already 'planted' - but any new ones only took an Hour [they will still take 30 days when they go live here]

As for the benefit...Here's the numbers I got from my Harvests (apologies this is for the Largest Meadow only)

Bradford Cows:
7,150 leather (Feed trough)
5,500 leather (no feed trough)

Longhorn Cows:
27500 x Leather (no feed trough)
35750 x Leather (feed trough)

@ BlueBrook , @ Dr Zig - It better not be caffeinated or else Monkey will wreak a lot of havoc. And by "a lot", I mean like "a big fat lot"!
And I can't put any new cows into production even though I have fields available. I guess the window has closed.
