I'm hoping it waits until I save up more passes, I really really want a few gemstones...however I also really want to collect the Chinese Divines.

Ah yes; did my math and I'll get the 3=4 perk. So I'll just open 3 TC's, most likely get junk, and open a 4tth one free and most likely get junk again.
So therefore I will waste 6 passes default smiley xd

And then I won't have enough to buy Emerald, Opal, and Sapphire. (well of course without feeling like I don't have enough passes left :P)

It doesn't make sense, 'cuz we got the passes now already because of the buying promotion. If they do the gemstone sales they do that so we buy passes, not so we spent them. I'd bet we first have to spent them on the current promos and when we're all broke they'll release the gemstones so we have to buy new passes default smiley ^)

Has anyone tried it on mobile howrse? I may buy passes if I can use the mobile version to get my unicorns, but I don't want to do it, until I know for sure.

Spoiler for: the fodder in that will come with the EC changes:
Click to display
I just realized one thing....

Since we are going to actually have to buy fodder for the horses from now on ( 1e/1 fodder, 1000e for 1000fodder) do you guys realize what it means for the AP farms? I have over 780+ horses I AP farm each day,not counting the ones I take care outside of that (divines, unis, time to relax-horses + blupp team horses. It will be a PAIN to buy fodder over and over again.

yes.You can grow it in your EC (with is good). But I doubt the fodder will be done the next day...with means directly buy fodder from the store.Lets see...

Lets say all horses eat 15-17kg of fodder each. And lets say you have 800 to AP farm. Thats 11700 - 13260 fodder needed just for the AP farm. Each day. Then we have the other horses besides AP farm. 11700 - 13260 equus going to just buy the food.

is it just me or will this be sooner or later a annoying thing? How do you think it will affect the gameplay?

Right now Im neutral to this. Need to play around little more with the EC.But for now, what do you think?

Been wondering about that as well.
Looks like the pass horses will be spending a lot of time grassing and not get to eat grain much.
The few I work I also do a lesson per hose to earn a little E..
If we comp them a lot fodder will be needed. Time will tell how expensive this will become. Maybe we'll have to cut down the number of horses we work

Like you I have several other horses I work.

Well, you're already spending the same amount buying it directly at the horses page, so there's no real issue about how much it coats... yeah it'll be a bit annoying, if you run out then have to go run to the store, but i dont really see much of a problem since you can just open a store in a new tab and it'll take about 3 seconds. I think it'll actually be better since it'll be easier to manage how much you're spending on feed. (I see it that way anyway =p)

By Retired breeder, 22nd August 2014 18:47:26
But in relation to the fodder problem won't that make VIP accounts more desirable as you can set how many you wish to purchase? So you could cap it to say 13,000 fodder and it'll automatically buy as much as it can for you?
By Retired breeder, 22nd August 2014 19:04:38
Sorry guys, I was reading over the comments. Did you say you *can't* get a unicorn when buying on the mobile version?

___

Actually, this will be quite easy to fix, if anyone cares to hear my solution and criticize it.

Let's say you have 1,000 turnips. Let's call your amount of turnips myTurnips (mT).

If you kept mT, you would receive 25,000 fodder in exchange. No profit unless you sell it, which is much more confusing and complicated due to income and outcome weighing balances.

Let's say instead that you sold every single part of your mT. That gives you 25,000e. Once the changes come out, you *could* buy 25,000 fodder but then it would be the same result as above, and still, no profit.

But I have the solution to gain profit from this change:

Sell all of your mT and get 25,000e (in this instance I'm saying mT = 1,000 turnips). Do you really need 25,000 fodder even if you have tons of horses boarded? They only eat the max. of 20 a day, and so to remove all that 25,000 fodder in a short time, let's say one day, you'd need to have 1,250 horses boarded to waste all of that fodder in one day. The top ECs probably have around 800 or 900 horses, but I doubt any have 1,250 boarded. And then there are the ECs with less boxes, say 50 or so like mine. That means the 25,000 fodder will last you for around 500 horse days, so if each horse aged five hundred times, then yes, you would run out of turnips. But who in the world would age a horse five hundred times a day, nonetheless all 50!

So you could buy *less* fodder. Let's start from the 25,000e you got from selling mT. You could just buy 10,000 or 15,000 fodder instead, like a third of the number you got from selling.

Say instead that mT = only 500 turnips. You get 12,500e instead. A third of that is around 4,167e, so buy 4,167 fodder. Remember, fodder is bought like this: 1 fodder for 1e.

You still get 8,000e+ profit from what's left of your reserve that you got from the selling of mT.

Therefore, my best choice is to sell all turnips and buy less fodder than the amount of equus you got, and get profit, so perhaps if you grew as many turnips before September started, because we're only estimating it comes on September 7th, but look, we were two days off for the Cards, so it could be a whole week before our estimated date. So it may start on September 1st. In that case, you should plant as many turnips that will harvest before that date. That way, you'll get lots of turnips to sell and buy less, so bigger profit.

Is anyone getting this? I did all the work to help you guys get more profit, so you should read this whole thing because it's for your own good! Now....READ!!! default smiley :p

Phoenix, even if you had that many horses, you still have enough left over to buy more food for the other horses that you need to take care of.

I see no point in selling your turnips/fodder as you will only have to buy it again later...

I work 1000 horses nearly every day. If they eat 15kg-17kg every day that's 15,000-17,000kg of fodder. In a week that's 105,000-119,000kg of fodder. If I sold half my fodder I would only end up buying it again the next day, and that isn't profit.

@heartcrusher1 I've read your post, twice, but I still don't see how you make profit. Are you talking about breeders inventory or ECs inventory?

1 turnip = 25 fodder

1 turnip = 25e
1 fodder = 1 e

1 turnip => 25 fodder => 25e.

You could sell them now, or wait till they turn into fodder, either way you get 25e per turnip. It doesn't matter when you decide to sell.
Am I missing something? default smiley :p

(oh and by the way, if you just sell something and buy (less) later on, that's not really making profit with this change. It has nothing to do with the change, that's just selling wat you don't need. And I agree with FantaPaddyxx, you might end up needing / buying everything back from the store because you'll need in anyway in the long run...)
