Ouch... I really hope it won't cost us that much when it comes out, considering that the Maori gods take quite a while for giving you their prize(I take around 3 weeks or more only to get Tangaroa's element). But it's gorgeous even tho...
Also... any news on the special horses pages that were missing?

Okay so I have completed my day one, and I have to say at cursory glance I LOVE this.

Its essentially a matching game (think Bejeweled) for prizes. You have an unlimited number of clicks, but only one bomb to wipe the board a day. So choose your moves carefully.

The cost will be incurred after you get three chests. You can only get three at a time, so without spending a pass, you have to wait for them to be unlocked. (every chest has a different unlock time based on rarity)

You can spend a pass to unlock them all at once, which could be smart. Or you earn those lightbulb things that shorten the time.

The prizes are great. So far, day one with no money spent, I have won 2 light bulb things, a Magic hat!!! (if only on the real server) and a medusas blood.

And here I thought I was excited for the wanderers.

Ohh, can we have the prize lift? Pretty please? default smiley *-)

I tried to check for some sort of prize list. They don't actually have one listed. I went to look again, and yeah I think it's going to be mostly a mystery. The prizes are randomized by chest, and apparently when you win something, it is removed from the spin so you don't win something you hate twice.

I will write down what I see next time, to give some ideas. The lowest level chest has regular tack and boosters, (lightbulb things), carrots I think etc.

Ohh, that's too bad, I'd love as many magic hats as possible default smiley xd
Thanks for the info default smiley ^) was the magic hat in a diamond chest or golden one?
Mystery prizes actually do sound a little exciting... maybe there's a chance for a falla/greyphell/wild/chimera in there too? I know, getting my hopes too high default smiley xd

We don't have a prize page for this one, but here are all of the ones I saw

in the scroll wheel.
There are duplicates of some prizes and an item is removed from the chest once you win it(my guess is that a single instance is not removed, not all of the copies of that item. It's mostly the small items, like aging points and boosters that have multiple copies in a chest. The divine requires 560 points to get, not from opening crystal chests, so it's much more guaranteed this time. You get points when the chests drop on your board I believe. It looks like you get 4 points when a Crystal Chest appears, 3 points for a Gold, and 2 for a wooden one. We'll have to test more to see if that increases the farther into the event, but my guess is that it does not.

Wooden Chest:
Spurs, Boosters, 2**English Saddle, lunge, 5th element, 2**classical bridle, Hypno's Blanket, bell boots, whip, manure, aging points, 2**classical saddle cloth

Gold Chest:
booster, Helio's Ray, Z.Lightning Bolt, P.Stroke, Horn of Plenty, Pandora's Box, Vintage Apple, Medusa's Blood, water trough, 3***classic saddle, 3***classical bridle, feed trough, tractor, shower

Crystal Chest:
Nyx Pack, Magic Hat, Liten Falabella, booster, aging point, 20,000e, hera pack, harmony pack, Poseidon's Pack, 10,000e, Seal of the Apocalypse, 30,000e, 50,000e, double sided medallion, Bewitched Pumpkin, Achilles Heel, Bonus Pack

Ok So I have one other Māori Divine, he takes 1000 points to fill his Tiki. I've been able to fill it twice and it has taken 2 months to do so. So I estimate that it will take 3-4 months to fill the Tiki for Rehua to get the Nyx pack since his tiki needs 1600 points. So that's a total of 3 or 4 Nyx packs a year.

Wait... will it be worth then? I mean we already have Balioses and if you're not their breeder they'll give you a nyx pack in every three months so it would be about same drop rate and you don't have to take care of them or anything. It only makes sense if it will be cheaper than buying a Balios from direct sales.

It will mostly come down to what the

drop rate will be, which we won't know for sure until after we've had the divine for a while. Though I do agree with Rogin that it will probably take around 3-4 months to drop based on how long it takes my other Maori.

It will be more work than a Balios, but the cheapest Balios in the sales usually costs more than 30 passes, which will be about the same, if not more than what this divine will cost. I spent around 30 passes to finish the Elemental Mine, but I'm hoping the changes made means it will cost a bit less this time.

Some players may also just desire it for their trophies, they will be listed as the breeder for this one rather than if they bought Balios.I kind of want him just for his designdefault smiley (lol)

I think it will be worth it, if it costs less than 24 passes to get, since you can buy 4 Nyx packs for that. And as Legacy Ann said he is really nice looking and still good for the collectors.

* Getting fed updefault smiley (m) ! Why do we always have to use passes. What ever happened to use of brains and not money to get ahead? Those of us who can't use a pass at that time are tossed aside and those who do have deeper pockets. It's not right.*

I do agree with you that his design is a plus, but do also keep in mind that if you go for this divine, you will also be getting a lot of good bm prices. So if you spend as many passes on this event as you do on buying a balios, you will be getting more by completing this event.

@the other testers:

Do you guys notice a pattern in the chests that you receive? Four times in a row I've gotten three wooden chests followed by one gold. Trying to figure out the rate at which crystal chests or purple ones or whatever happen.

Idk if it's random or not lol

It is because what is a game to you is a business to the company that runs it. Companies cost a lot of money to run. At least there are ways to earn passes while playing. There are many games on the web now where you can only play at a relatively low level before you have to pay to do more. At least here everyone has the right to do whatever they want. You have a choice. Pay your money or work hard and use your brain to get what you need.

Do you have howrse (not imgur) link to that picture? The drawing doesn't seem completely in howrse style to me, but I may be wrong default smiley :)

As deimos says, it's a business. However, I do believe Howrse is misguided to make all promos pass dependant. If a promo is based on skill/strategy/patience, it should be winnable by skill/strategy/patience. Otherwise it undermines the sense of achievement in playing the game well, whether you can buy passes or not. Customers who can't buy passes now (or won't while they feel they are being treated as cash cows) might in future. Customers who can might pay to speed through a game, get two copies of a divine, or buy direct. Which are other ways to offer paid opportunities without meaning those without passes can't still succeed.

I think too much of business these days goes on what I think of as The Apprentice model: where it's all about making the deal, as much money as possible, and the customer is seen as almost a competitor. Make some money and move on to the next deal.... There are other models though, that centre on customer service and long term retention of happy customers.

Has everyone got Gemini in their reserved sales right now? Has this sort of reserved sale (without it being attached to an event) happened before? If it's new I think it's great!
I'm tempted to 'reward' Howrse by buying, but I really am short of money right now and want to save passes for some of the promos coming up, as the divines are better. LOL,

Yes, the current sale of Gemini is for everyone. They have done many many of these promotions for divines, and for wilds, in the past.
