Is there a master post somewhere about pre-pod? I'm really interested in how it works, are there forums, can you be reported, are there teams, do people breed on there?

Preprod is for finding bugs. There are a few forums there, but not nearly as many as there are on the live version. You can still be reported. Admins are there more often than the live game. There are teams, and people do breed mostly for testing, or even because you have more passes and equus to do with as you'd like there. There are no consequences to your real game, so you can do what you'd like (within the rules, of course).

It's just a copy of the game, usually on like a few day delay (meaning if you had a horse born the day before you got invited to PreProd, you won't have it there). There is only one forum for people to discuss the promo being tested and report bugs/issues that they find.

You *can* do everything you do on the live version, like reporting and teams and breeding, but a lot of people don't really do that. There's just no point since nothing you do there will have any effect on your real game.

Are there any plans in the future for bringing back pets, or are they discontinued permanatley?

Not any known plans. I really doubt they'd bring them back since they've been gone since 2012. They were a hassle and I hope they stay gone

99.999999% chance they are discontinued permanently. They had a whole promo for getting rid of them, so it's probably final, but then again we have no idea what Howrse has in store for us in the future.

Right now though, your best bet is operating on the assumption that they're never coming back.

I feel like they should have a 'Throwback Thursday' where they bring back companions, DAs, stuff like that.

In what way? I hope you don't mean like actually bring them back exactly as they were, because that would just crash like half of the sales market.

No there is not.

Depending on how many foals you game on a regular basis, it would get fairly expensive to have to buy companions just so you could do foal games with your foal. I didn't care about 60 skill points back then, so I bypassed buying companions on most of my horses so I could save my equus. Now, unless I'm going to raise a horse as an AP farmer I do foal games with the majority of horses I raise.

Plenty of reasons, like Bibbs said. And DA's caused glitches that made it unfair to players.
